An Understated Dominance - Chapter 501
Julie was surprised, but she quickly regained her composure and looked at Dustin as if he were foolish. “Really? Are you serious? Can we stop pretending? Who do you think you are, claiming to be the leader of the gang?”
“Come on, Julie. Stop it. You need to be reasonable,” Dahlia said, glaring at him. She didn’t seem convinced either. After all, Dustin had only just arrived in Millsburg a few days ago. There was no way he could claim leadership that quickly.
“Why would I lie? If you don’t trust me, come with me to the Flame Dragon Gang. I’ll help you get your money back,” Dustin insisted.
“Do you think we’re stupid? We’d be in serious trouble if we asked that gang for our money!” Julie shot back.
“Fine. I’ll just go to the Flame Dragon Gang headquarters by myself,” he said, not wanting to argue with them. He thought they were overreacting to the whole situation.

“Wait! I’ll go with you,” Dahlia said suddenly as she saw Dustin getting ready to leave.
“Dahlia, are you out of your mind? You’re really going to follow him to meet the Flame Dragon Gang?” Julie was scared and couldn’t believe Dahlia wasn’t listening to her warnings.
“We have to try. If things go well, we might get our money back. If not, we’ll figure something out,” Dahlia replied seriously.
“But—”
“No buts. If you’re scared, you don’t have to come,” Dahlia said, raising her hand to stop Julie from arguing.
“Yes, I’m scared, but I can’t let you go alone!” Julie sighed deeply. “I’ll call some of my contacts to make sure you’re safe.”
As she spoke, she dialed a number. “Hey, can you do me a favor…?”
Three minutes later, Julie hung up, looking more at ease. “I called up…
Terrence promised to help you. While he can’t guarantee that your debts will be paid, he can promise your safety.”
“That’s great. Thank you for going through all this for me. Let’s leave now.” True to her word, Dahlia quickly left with Dustin.
At noon, Nelson and Hank were enjoying a casual tea break at the Flame Dragon Properties office. A well-dressed secretary was paying special attention to the two men.
“Lord Horst, I have a special gift for you. It’s a limited edition Rolex, perfect for someone as successful as you. Take a look! Do you like it?” Hank said as he handed Nelson a gift box containing a gold watch.
“Not bad, Mr. Hoffman. That’s very thoughtful of you,” Nelson replied, smiling. “But what brings you here? I doubt you came just to give me a watch.”
“Well, it’s thanks to you that our company is doing so well. I thought a gift was in order. But I also have a problem I need your help with,” Hank said, changing the subject.
“Oh? What kind of trouble? I’m listening,” Nelson said as he finished his drink.
“The headquarters sent a new chairman to keep us in line. She’s quite clever. To challenge her, I’ve dared her to make you pay off 70 million in debt. If she fails, she’ll have to step down from her position,” Hank explained.
“I see,” Nelson replied, quickly understanding. “You want me to teach her a lesson?”
“Exactly!” Hank grinned. “Do whatever you want with her, just make sure she stays alive!”
“What do we know about this new chairman?” Nelson asked, wanting more information before agreeing. Although the Flame Dragon Gang was well-known, they couldn’t afford to upset certain powerful individuals.
For example, there are the branch families of the Fabulous Five and the followers of the Tremendous Three.
“Lord Horst, I’ve checked her out. She’s nothing special,” Hank said confidently.
