An Understated Dominance - Chapter 503
“What?” The man was confused after being slapped. He held his cheek, looking lost. The other men exchanged shocked glances. No one had expected that outburst from Nelson. Just a moment ago, he was shouting about attacking the visitors, and now he looked terrified, as if he had seen a ghost. What was happening?
“What are you doing there? Hurry up and get me the check!” Nelson kicked the frozen man nervously.
“Okay…” The man quickly stumbled back to the office. He didn’t understand what was going on, but one thing was clear—Lord Horst was scared.
While they waited, Nelson approached Dustin and forced a nervous smile. “Sir Rhys, when did you arrive? You should have told me earlier so I could send someone to pick you up.”
“Sir Rhys?” Dahlia and Julie were stunned by Nelson’s sudden change in attitude. They exchanged looks of disbelief. Why would the tough Lord Horst of the Flame Dragon Gang act so humble in front of Dustin?

“Nelson Horst, you need to settle the debts of the Flame Dragon Gang. Do you understand?” Dustin scolded him. Nelson nodded quickly, wiping sweat from his forehead. “Right, Sir Rhys. You’re right. I wasn’t thinking. I promise it won’t happen again.”
“It better not. Also, you were acting like a thug just now. You should apologize to the debtor,” Dustin warned.
“Chairman Nicholson, I’m really sorry. I was rude to you, and I hope you can forgive me this time.” Nelson smiled and bowed repeatedly as he apologized. This behavior surprised Dahlia. She had prepared herself to confront a gangster, but she never expected the fierce-looking Lord Horst to back down so quickly.
She wasn’t the only one who was taken aback.
Julie was shocked and didn’t know what to say. She wondered if Nelson Horst was still the same man she knew as the powerful Lord Horst.
“Lord Horst, I’m just here to collect the debts. I hope I didn’t offend you,” Dahlia said politely.
“Don’t say that! It’s my fault for owing you money in the first place,” Nelson replied, surprised by her politeness. It was clear that there was a special bond between Dustin and Dahlia. Nelson felt both respect and fear towards his new leader.
“Lord Horst, the money is here,” a man said as he hurried in, holding a check. Nelson wiped the sweat from his forehead and handed the check to Dahlia with care.
“Chairman Nicholson, this is the amount I owe you. Please take a look,” he said respectfully.
“80 million?” Dahlia exclaimed, surprised to see the extra money. “Did you accidentally pay me more, Lord Horst?”
“No, I didn’t. I’ve owed you this money for a while. Consider it interest,” Nelson smiled.
Dahlia was confused and troubled. She was grateful to have recovered the 70 million in debt, but now she had an extra 10 million.
“Dahlia, since it’s for the interest, you should accept it,” Dustin suggested.
“That’s right. Chairman Nicholson, please accept the check so I can sleep well tonight,” Nelson added, looking a bit desperate.
“Okay, thank you, Lord Horst, for your generosity and help.” Dahlia finally agreed and put the check in her pocket. She could tell that Dustin was the reason behind Nelson’s humble attitude.
Dustin had a strong attitude, and as he walked away with Dahlia and Julie, she couldn’t shake off the thought of whether he was being honest earlier.
“Nelson Horst, remember what you said today,” he reminded Nelson one last time before leaving.
