An Understated Dominance - Chapter 56
Dustin stepped forward and jumped into the air, moving like lightning.
“Quick! Kill him!” Edward shouted, tensing up when he saw Dustin make his move.
Before the armed elites could react, Dustin landed and kicked one of them. The man flew away as if he were a piece of paper, a hole punctured through his bulletproof vest. Even his bones were broken!
Before he could touch the ground, Dustin quickly swerved and kicked another elite in the neck.
After taking down two men, Dustin kept attacking fiercely. Anything he came in contact with was destroyed in seconds. No one could stop him.
The armed elites were caught off guard by his speed and strength. One by one, they fell to the ground.
Their guns couldn’t keep up with him, and not a single shot was fired.
The whole time, Dustin was holding onto Dahlia while attacking with his feet!
Edward watched in shock, looking as if he had seen a ghost.
These elites were battle-hardened and heavily armed. They should have easily defeated Dustin. Why were they losing instead? What was going on?
“Is he a martial arts expert? No wonder he’s so confident!” Travis said, narrowing his eyes in surprise. He had worked hard to reach his position and was skilled in martial arts himself.
All the elites in the army were trained in martial arts. Except for intelligence agencies, having strong martial arts skills was crucial for military rankings. Dustin’s abilities clearly showed he could be a high-ranking officer!
“General, this man is very powerful. Should we retreat?” the adjutant asked quietly.
“There’s no need for anyone else. I want to fight him myself!” Travis said, loosening his muscles. His strong, burly body was like that of a panther.
“Your turn!” Dustin called out as the last opponent fell. His gaze locked onto Edward.
“Uncle Travis! Help me!” Edward cried, stumbling back in fear.
“No one can save you today!” Dustin advanced towards Edward.
“Your opponent is me!” Travis shouted as he jumped forward, throwing a punch at Dustin.
Without even looking, Dustin swiftly severed Travis’s leg.
While Edward screamed for help, Travis managed to land a punch on Dustin’s back.
There was a loud explosion, but Dustin stood firm. His clothes ripped, exposing his muscular body.
Chapter 56
Travis was stunned by the impact and fell to the ground, spitting out blood.
“General!” The adjutant rushed over, worried, and helped Travis up.
Travis coughed, feeling a wave of blood rising inside him. His fist shook uncontrollably, as if he had lost all feeling in it.
“This can’t be happening!” Travis exclaimed, staring at his trembling arms in disbelief. He was shocked to discover that his full strength had not even left a mark on Dustin, while he himself had suffered serious injuries.
Dustin was an absolute beast! Who was this man?
Travis looked up in confusion. Suddenly, he froze, as if struck by lightning. He noticed a large tattoo on Dustin’s powerful body.
It depicted an animal with the head of a dragon, the tail of an ox, the back of a tiger, the waist of a bear, and the scales of a snake.
Dustin had a tattoo of a black beast that looked so real, it seemed to come alive as he breathed. The tattoo was both majestic and fierce, creating a daunting presence.
Travis stared at it in shock, suddenly remembering something important. “A kirin tattoo?” he gasped, fear washing over him. He was Rhys by name, and he recognized the tattoo. Could this be the Kirin from the Rhys family?
No, that couldn’t be right. Why was this man, who had caused such a stir in Chouxe and then vanished for ten years, here now?
“Are you from Chouxe?” Travis asked nervously, his lips shaking.
“Oh? You figured it out?” Dustin replied, turning around with a blank look. He didn’t care if Travis knew—after all, he was going to die anyway.
“It really is you. Why are you here?” Travis trembled, cold sweat forming on his brow. His earlier confidence faded, replaced by sheer fear.
Now it made sense why he knew Adam Spanner—Dustin was the legendary Kirin!
Travis felt doomed. He had angered someone even Sergeant Adam feared!
“General, what’s wrong?” the adjutant asked, alarmed. He had never seen Travis look so scared. Usually calm, even in the worst situations, Travis was now trembling.
Who was this man, Dustin?
“We’re finished,” Travis said, sinking to the ground in defeat. He knew he wouldn’t survive today—only the manner of his death remained uncertain.
“General! I’ve called for backup! They’ll be here soon! Hold on!” the adjutant urged, trying to lift his spirits.
“It’s no use,” Travis said, resigned to his fate.
Travis shook his head, looking completely drained.
“General, what’s wrong?” The adjutant began to panic.
Travis trembled as he pointed at Dustin and stammered, “He’s the Kirin of the Rhys family, Logan Rhys!”
The adjutant went pale when he heard that name.
They were in serious trouble! It felt like the dead had come back to life.
