No one expected a 15-year-old could bring about such destruction. So, it was no surprise that Travis felt a chill of fear when he saw him. Who could have guessed that the man standing in front of them was the legendary Logan Rhys, who had vanished from the world a decade ago?

Travis’s legs gave out, and he fell to the ground with a thud, his mind blank in shock. Dustin, standing behind him, glanced at Travis before walking toward Edward.

“Help me, Uncle Travis! Uncle Travis!” Edward cried, clutching his broken leg and writhing on the floor like a helpless worm, trying to escape Dustin.

“I told you, I’ll make sure you won’t even have a corpse left after I kill you!” Dustin shouted as he picked up a long whip covered in spikes from the ground and struck Edward’s face with a swift, merciless blow.

“Argh!” Edward screamed in pain as the whip tore through his skin, blood gushing from the wound. Dustin didn’t stop there; he aimed another ruthless strike at Edward’s body.

With a sickening crunch, Edward’s flesh and clothes were ripped apart. “Gah!” he cried out again, begging for help. “Hurry, Uncle Travis! Please save me!”

Despite witnessing the brutality, Travis stood frozen, as if he didn’t hear a thing, while Dustin continued his assault without any hesitation.

mercy was being taken away as Dustin continued to hit him hard. Each punch made blood splatter, and Edward screamed in pain.

“Please, stop hitting me! I messed up! I know I messed up!” Edward pleaded, kneeling on the ground.

But Dustin paid no attention. He kept striking Edward, his eyes cold and unfeeling.

“This is for all the suffering Dahlia has gone through. You will pay for it, ten times over!” Dustin thought to himself.

“Yes! Beat him up good!” Chris cheered from the corner of the room, looking amused.

It was said that bad people eventually got what they deserved, and Edward, the wannabe villain, was now being punished by the powerful supervillain, Dustin Rhys.

Just as Dustin was getting his revenge, a long line of cars drove up and stopped in front of Spanner Villa. Armed guards in black suits and body armor poured out, sealing off the area. They looked intimidating, even standing still, and were much more formidable than Travis’s men from before.

“So, Rhys sent them,” Travis thought, feeling a wave of despair wash over him as he saw the elite forces. In that moment, all hope faded away.

Then, the door of a Rolls-Royce opened, and Hunter Anderson stepped out of the car.

“Mr. Anderson?” Edward, who was badly beaten, felt a glimmer of hope as he looked at Hunter.

The savior had arrived. Edward perked up and started dragging his weak body toward Hunter, begging for help.

“Help me, Mr. Anderson! This kid is trying to kill me! Quickly, arrest him for me! If you help me now, half of the Spanner’s fortune will be yours!” Edward offered eagerly, hoping to tempt Hunter with his wealth.

After all, wasn’t life worth more than all the riches in the world? The beating he had endured terrified him. He knew that if the whipping continued, he would eventually be killed.

“Is that you, Edward Spanner?” Hunter asked, looking at the bloody figure before him. It took him a moment to recognize him.

“Yes, it’s me! You must save me for Sir Hummer, Mr. Anderson!” Edward pleaded, clutching Hunter’s pant leg tightly.

“Get lost!” Hunter growled, kicking him away and ignoring his pleas. Instead of helping, he walked to the other side of the car, bent over, and opened the door. An elderly man in a worn suit stepped out, using a cane to walk casually.

“Sir Francis, you’d better be more careful…” Hunter said softly, reaching out to help the old man. Edward was shocked to see him treat someone with such respect.

This man was Sir Francis, the President of the Swinton Group, one of the three major groups in the city. Hunter even joked with someone as important as Sir Hummer.

Who was this old man who made Hunter act so humble? What was happening?

Edward wasn’t the only one confused.

Chapter 57

Chris was hiding in a corner, looking confused. He couldn’t believe what he was seeing. To him, Hunter Anderson was a powerful man, one of the most important people in Swinton. So, who was this guy in an old suit who seemed to control Hunter so easily?

Just then, Edward snapped out of his daze. He limped over to the old man in the suit, bowing his head repeatedly. He didn’t even know who the man was, but he sensed that he had a lot more power than he realized. After all, this man treated Hunter like a grandson. Edward thought, could he be a government official from Stonia? If this powerful man helped him, maybe he could change his life for the better!

When the old man heard Edward’s desperate plea, he briefly glanced at him before looking away. He took a moment to fix his hair and smooth out his clothes. Once he felt presentable, he walked over to Dustin.

To everyone’s shock, he suddenly dropped to his knees in front of Dustin.

“My sincere greetings to you, Mr. Rhys!” he announced.
