An Understated Dominance - Chapter 58
The room fell silent. It was so quiet that you could hear a pin drop. Everyone was shocked when the elderly man in the suit knelt before Dustin Rhys.
No one expected this powerful figure, who could make Hunter Anderson bow down, to kneel in front of Dustin. It felt like he was a servant greeting his master.
What was happening?!
“Uh…” Chris stood frozen, his face full of disbelief. He thought Dustin was just a good fighter, but now he realized there was much more to him.
Hunter Anderson was already a significant figure, so why was he acting so submissively in front of the older gentleman? It seemed clear that the man in the suit was even more powerful. So why was he kneeling before Dustin Rhys?
This was humiliating!
The scene before him showed just how intimidating Dustin truly was. “No… this can’t be happening!” Edward thought, filled with fear.
Seeing the older man kneel shattered his last bit of hope. All that remained was despair and terror.
Who would have guessed that his last hope would turn out to be Dustin’s servant?
What kind of monster had he gotten himself involved with? Dustin was nothing like Chris and Edward.
As Travis stood there, he felt death creeping closer. He realized that he might not leave this place alive now that he understood Dustin’s true power.
If Dustin resisted, he and his entire family would be in danger!
“Dustin, it’s been ten years! I can’t believe I finally found you!” Sir Francis exclaimed, kneeling on the ground. Tears streamed down his face, but he didn’t care what anyone thought at that moment.
Dustin, however, showed no emotion. He looked at Sir Francis as if he were a stranger.
“Get lost!” he shouted, turning away from Sir Francis and walking towards Edward.
His anger was boiling over now!
“P-please don’t kill me! Just spare my life, and I’ll do anything!” Edward begged, trembling with fear. He even wet himself in panic, but he continued to bow his head and plead for mercy.

“If I don’t kill you now, I won’t be able to let go of my hatred!” Dustin growled, taking a step forward to stomp on Edward’s chest. Edward’s eyes widened as he looked up at Dustin with a mix of resignation and fear.
So much for a peaceful death.
“Mr. Rhys! I accept my fate, but please don’t harm my subordinates!” Edward cried desperately.
When Dustin glanced at Travis, they both understood their time was up. Without hesitation, they pulled out their knives and simultaneously slit their own throats.
No one had the chance to negotiate with Dustin now.
After witnessing the two bodies fall, Dustin said nothing. He simply left the scene, carrying Dahlia in his arms.
Sir Francis sighed heavily, feeling torn. Even though he had finally found Dustin, he worried that Dustin’s troubled heart might never heal.
“How should we handle this, Sir Francis?” Hunter asked, lowering his head.
Standing in front of the older man, Hunter felt the tension in the air. Sir Francis, known for his power and reputation, seemed indifferent to the chaos around him.
“Make sure this news doesn’t leak. And anyone connected to this? Get rid of them,” Sir Francis said casually. His nonchalance made Hunter’s heart race with fear. Did he realize how many lives would be affected by this?
Suddenly, Chris, who had been hiding, burst out in a panic. “P–please don’t kill me! I’m friends with Dustin!” He dashed out as the elite forces prepared to set the house on fire.
“Friends with Dustin, are you?” Sir Francis asked, sizing him up.
“Yes! Yes! We’re best friends! We even had dinner recently!” Chris replied, nodding eagerly, like a chicken pecking for food. At that moment, he would do anything to save himself.
“Really? Then I need you to make sure he doesn’t stay out too late,” Sir Francis said, his voice softer now.
“Of course! I’ll tell him!” Chris assured him quickly.
“Someone, please drive this gentleman,” Sir Francis instructed with a wave of his hand.
“N–no, no! It’s fine! I can go back myself!” Chris exclaimed, waving his hands in panic. It was surprising that he still had the courage to refuse help when he was so scared.
Sir Francis didn’t press the issue and simply waved his team to disperse.
“I’ll get going then…” Chris mumbled, fleeing as if he had just escaped from prison. He silently thanked God for his narrow escape.
was quick on his feet, which had just helped him escape a tricky situation. However, he knew he couldn’t stay in Stonia for much longer. He planned to leave as soon as he had saved enough money.
“Sir Francis, I think that man we just met wasn’t being honest with us,” Hunter said respectfully.
“It doesn’t matter,” Sir Francis replied casually. “He’s just an ant to us. It makes no difference if we kill him or let him live.”
Sir Francis could tell that Chris was lying, but he didn’t want to get involved too deeply. He feared that Dustin wouldn’t appreciate him meddling in his affairs. The last thing he wanted was to become an enemy of the Kirin!
Meanwhile, at the Peaceful Medical Center, Dustin felt his heart break as he looked at the bloody wound on Dahlia’s body. Even though they were divorced, three years of feelings couldn’t just vanish. Some emotions are hard to shake off.
Taking a deep breath, he gently removed her clothes and began to carefully treat her injury. Even with his gentle touch, Dahlia’s unconscious body twitched in pain at times, which made him more cautious.
He was meticulous as he cleaned, disinfected, and applied ointment to her wound. He wanted to ensure he did everything right. Once he finished, he let out a sigh of relief, not realizing that sweat had formed on his forehead.
Just as he was about to leave, a delicate hand suddenly grabbed his wrist.
“Don’t go… don’t go. Don’t leave me here…” Dahlia murmured, caught in a nightmare. Her eyes were tightly shut, rolling from side to side as she whispered softly.
Dustin
Dustin fought to keep his emotions in check. “I’m not going anywhere. I’m right here,” he said softly as he moved to sit next to her. He took her hand in both of his.
“D—don’t go, Dustin…” she whispered. As she felt more secure, her voice quieted, and she began to calm down.
Still, she held onto his hand tightly, not wanting to let go.
“I’m sorry…” he said quietly, feeling the strength in her grip. A wave of heartache washed over him.
In the past, she had always shown a strong, independent side, never revealing her vulnerability. But today, he saw a different side of her. Beneath the tough exterior of the icy businesswoman, there was a woman who needed someone to care for her.
