An Understated Dominance - Chapter 77
Dustin squinted at the swinging blades in front of him. They were accusing him of being a traitor without even trying to understand the situation.
“Tilda, there’s a misunderstanding here. Dustin can’t be the spy!” Natasha protested.
“We’ll find out if there’s a misunderstanding after we investigate,” Tilda shouted coldly. “Tie him up! Kill him if he resists!”
“Kill me?” Dustin frowned. “You’re making such harsh decisions before the investigation has even started. Isn’t that a bit much?”
Tilda scoffed. “For the safety of the Harmon family, I’ll do whatever it takes!”
“How can you be sure I’m the spy?” Dustin shot back.
“I don’t need to be sure. You’re the spy because I say so!” Tilda replied with authority.
Seeing how unreasonable Tilda was being, Dustin’s expression grew serious. He had been trying to keep the peace, yet Tilda accused him without any evidence.
This was going too far!
“Tilda, there’s no solid proof yet. Don’t mess this up!” Natasha’s voice rose in frustration.
“I’m the head of security, which means I’m responsible for your safety. This man is clearly dangerous!” Tilda shouted.
“Tilda, please, there’s been a mistake. Dustin saved my life. Without him, we wouldn’t have escaped the Hummer Villa,” Ruth chimed in from the side.
“Hmph! He’s just pretending. He’s tricked all of you!” Tilda shot back.
“But—”
Tilda cut Ruth off sharply. “No buts! When it comes to your safety, it’s better to kill the wrong person than to regret it later!”
“I don’t understand. We have no conflict, so why are you being so hostile towards me?” Dustin asked.
“Stop pretending! You may have…
“You may have fooled them, but you can’t fool me! You better surrender if you don’t want to die!” Tilda snapped.
“And if I refuse?” Dustin asked, raising an eyebrow.
“Then I’ll have no choice but to make you!” Tilda signaled to her men.
“Kneel!” Two of her subordinates moved in, positioning their blades at Dustin’s neck.
“Don’t make me fight you,” Dustin warned, his voice low and dangerous.
“So what? What are you going to do about it? Get on your knees. Now!” one of the men shouted, trying to push Dustin down with a kick to his knee.
Dustin stood firm, not moving an inch. Instead, the man stumbled back, thrown off by the force of Dustin’s stance.
“You jerk…” the man muttered, embarrassed, and prepared to strike again when Dustin suddenly shot out his hand and slammed it down onto the man’s head.
With a loud crack, the man fell lifeless to the ground, leaving everyone around in shock. No one expected Dustin to be so ruthless, killing without hesitation. He clearly had no regard for the Harmon family.
“Damn you!” the second man yelled, furious, and swung his blade at Dustin.
“He’s the spy! Kill him!” Tilda commanded, her voice cold and ruthless.
At her order, the rest of her men rushed at Dustin, weapons raised.
Dustin’s expression hardened as he charged into the mob. In no time, he took them down one by one, each strike precise and powerful. Soon, all of Tilda’s subordinates lay motionless on the ground.
“You bastard! How dare you kill the Harmon family’s best men? You’re finished!” Tilda screamed, losing her temper. She drew a sword from her waist and lunged at Dustin with incredible speed.
Dustin, with a calm expression, tilted his head to the side, easily dodging her attack.
Dustin punched Tilda in the stomach.
Tilda screamed in pain as her body flew through the air and landed hard on one of the SUVs. Instead of backing off, Dustin rushed forward, grabbed Tilda by the neck, and lifted her up.
Tilda gasped for air as it became hard to breathe. She could feel her strength fading away, leaving her completely helpless in Dustin’s grip.
“Dustin, please let her go! She’s family!” Ruth shouted desperately.
“Mr. Rhys, you can kill anyone but Tilda, or you’ll regret it!” Stephan said, fear evident in his voice.
“I’m Natasha’s elder and the backbone of the Harmon family. If you kill me, you’ll make yourself the number one enemy of the Harmon family!” Tilda taunted, trying to sound brave.
But as soon as she spoke, Dustin tightened his grip. There was a sickening crack, and Tilda’s head went limp. She was dead.
Shock spread across her face, reflecting a mix of emotions: disbelief, horror, and surprise. She never thought Dustin would be reckless enough to kill her without fearing the Harmon family.
“What—” Everyone stood frozen in disbelief, staring at Tilda’s lifeless body. They exchanged looks of shock and horror.
This was Tilda Snider! Natasha Harmon’s elder and a key figure in the Harmon family! And she was gone just like that?
**Chapter 77**
Dustin must be mad!
“Rhys! Are you insane? You killed Tilda! Do you have any idea what you’ve done?” Ruth yelled, her eyes wide with shock.
“She was going to kill me first, so I had to kill her first. What was I supposed to do, just let her kill me?” Dustin replied, rolling his eyes.
“You—”
Ruth was so angry that she couldn’t find the words.
“Mr. Rhys, you’re in big trouble now!” Stephan said with a sympathetic shake of his head.
“Dustin Rhys! You killed the backbone of our family! Just wait until the Harmon family hears about this!” yelled a bald guard, his face filled with rage. “This guy must be crazy! Killing Tilda is like attacking the entire Harmon family!” he thought.
“Ms. Harmon, what do you think?” Dustin asked, shifting his focus to Natasha. He wanted to know her thoughts on the situation.
“Mr. Rhys was just defending himself. I don’t see anything wrong with that,” Natasha replied, quickly regaining her composure.
Dustin felt relieved by her response and decided that Natasha was someone he wanted on his side.
“Ms. Harmon, I didn’t kill her without reason. Just look at her body,” Dustin said as he pulled at Tilda’s shirt.
On her wrist, there was a tattoo shaped like a snake.
“What? Isn’t that the same symbol as those assassins? Why would Tilda have one too?” Stephan was shocked.
Meanwhile, Ruth looked horrified and exclaimed, “No way! Tilda was the spy?”
