An Understated Dominance - Chapter 8
Natasha and Dustin were sitting in the backseat of a silver Benz. “Mr. Rhys, here’s the Harmon family’s platinum card. Please accept it as a thank you,” Natasha said, handing Dustin a black card with gold edges. “With this card, you’ll be treated like an honored guest at all Harmon family establishments.”
“Ms. Harmon, I really don’t need this,” Dustin replied, shaking his head.
“Don’t worry about it, Mr. Rhys. It’s just a personal gesture. Also, I’ll send the canscora that Mr. Anderson requested to your place tomorrow,” Natasha smiled.
“That’s very kind of you, Ms. Harmon. Thank you,” Dustin chuckled and accepted the card. Since it was a gift from her, he figured it would come in handy. Just then, the car suddenly stopped.
“I’m sorry, Ms. Harmon! I had to do this!” the driver shouted as he jumped out and ran away.

At that moment, two black SUVs pulled up, blocking the front and rear of the silver Benz. More than ten armed men jumped out, their faces covered. A bald, muscular man, clearly the leader, stepped onto the hood of the Benz.
“Ms. Harmon, my boss wants to meet you. We’re here to escort you,” he said, brandishing a knife.
“How dare you hijack my car!” Natasha replied, remaining calm and confident. She had a regal presence that demanded respect.
“We wouldn’t have tried this if your bodyguards were here. But they’re at the hospital with your grandfather, leaving you alone with your little boy toy. We couldn’t pass up this chance,” the bald man grinned.
“Well, it seems you have some brains to bribe my driver. But I’m curious—who’s your boss?” Natasha asked coolly.
“You’ll find out when we get there! Now, will you get out?” the bald man insisted.
“Don’t think you can order me around!” Natasha stood her ground.
“Since you’re being difficult, I guess I have to use force!” The bald man signaled to his crew for a large hammer. Just as he was about to smash the windscreen, Dustin opened the door and stepped out.
“Ms. Harmon, your boyfriend has no guts. I haven’t even started, and he’s already scared. What do you see in him?” the bald man taunted. Natasha frowned and quietly reached into her bag.
“You have five seconds to back off,” Dustin warned. “What? Are you trying to be a hero? Go to hell!”
Before the bald man could respond, a loud slap echoed as Dustin struck him across the face. The force of it nearly dislocated the man’s jaw, sending him staggering back, dazed and confused.
“Damn! How dare this punk fight back? Get him!” the bald man shouted.
The other men rushed at Dustin, weapons drawn. But he stood his ground, moving with surprising agility. He danced around them, and with each man who got close, he delivered a swift slap.
One by one, they fell, cries of pain ringing out as Dustin effortlessly took them down. It was as if he was playing a game. The bald man watched in horror, never expecting the young man in front of him to be such a formidable opponent. Despite the odds, Dustin remained unscathed. “Interesting,” he muttered, fear creeping into his voice.
Natasha’s eyes lit up, a small smile forming on her lips. She put away the handgun she had taken out of her bag. At first, she thought Dustin would struggle against the group of tough men. Who would have guessed he was so strong?
capable fighter? He was much better than her bodyguards. Not only was he skilled in medicine and combat, but he was also quite handsome! A man like him was truly rare!
“Stop! Stay back!” the bald man yelled, fear evident in his voice as Dustin approached. “Don’t come any closer! I’ll make you pay—”
Before he could finish his threat, Dustin punched him in the stomach. The man doubled over and fell to his knees, gasping in pain.
“He’s all yours, Ms. Harmon,” Dustin said, stepping aside.
“Thank you,” Natasha replied, looking down at the bald man. “Now, tell me, who’s your boss?”
The man hesitated, sweat dripping down his forehead.
“Are you going to keep quiet?” Natasha smirked as she picked up a knife from the ground. She pressed the blade to his neck and threatened, “I might have to torture you until you talk.”
With that, she raised the knife and swung it.
At the last moment, the bald man screamed, “Please! Don’t kill me! I’ll tell you everything! It’s Trevor Spanner of the Drey Group!”
His life was more important than his loyalty. “I expected as much,” Natasha smiled. “Go back and tell Trevor I’ll remember this. When I have time, I’ll pay him a visit. Now get lost!”
The bald man and his crew fled, clearly shaken. “Ms. Harmon, things aren’t as simple as they seem. First, your grandfather was cursed. Then your car was hijacked. Trevor won’t be easy to deal with,” Dustin warned.
“Trevor Spanner is just a crazy man, but he has powerful allies. I won’t act just yet. It’s better to wait for the right moment to take them all down at once!” Natasha replied, narrowing her eyes. Attacking now would be reckless. She wanted to strike when the time was right.
“As long as you have a plan, that’s fine with me,” Dustin said, agreeing with her approach. He wasn’t interested in rushing into danger.
In a world filled with conflicts between rival families, Natasha approached Mr. Rhys with gratitude.
“Mr. Rhys, you really are my family’s savior,” she said, her eyes wide with appreciation. “You saved my grandfather, and now you’ve saved me from being kidnapped. I have no way to repay you.”
Dustin shrugged, “It’s no trouble at all.”
Natasha shook her head. “No, we owe you too much! I must find a way to return the favor!” She smiled playfully at him. “What if I repay you with my body?”
