Dustin stood frozen, staring at Dahlia’s cold expression and the angry crowd around him. After a few long moments of silence, he decided to leave the ward. He felt certain that no one would believe his side of the story.

“Humph! He should have left hours ago! What a nuisance!” one person grumbled.
“I know! He has no awareness at all!” another added.

As Dustin walked out, the crowd continued to insult him. Florence smiled and said, “Dr. Leister, that ignorant man is gone. Please try to calm down.”

“Ross, can you let it slide this time, for my sake? We need to focus on curing the patient. I promise to make it up to you for this!” Matt said, trying to smooth things over.

“How could I ignore your request, Mr. Laney? But remember, this is a one-time deal. I won’t let it go next time!” warned the doctor with glasses.

“Of course! Absolutely!” Matt replied eagerly.

The crowd nodded, grateful for Matt’s help.

Florence thought to herself, “How frustrating! That useless Dustin only makes things worse. Mr. Laney is the only one who can save the situation.”

“Alright, go get me some medicine,” the glasses-clad doctor instructed. He quickly wrote down a prescription and handed it to Florence. Without hesitation, she rushed to follow his orders. Fortunately, being in a hospital meant the medicine was easy to find.

But just as he finished speaking, things took a turn.

Henry’s face turned red, and sweat appeared on his forehead. His skin felt hot, as if he had a fever.

“Ugh!” Henry sat up and then coughed up blood, falling back as he fainted again.

The crowd gasped in shock. “What happened? Wasn’t he cured? Why is he coughing up blood?” they wondered.

“Doctor, what… what happened?” Dahlia asked, her face pale with fear. “Oh no! He coughed up so much blood. Could he be dead?” Florence’s face lost its color.

“This shouldn’t be happening. I followed all the steps. How could this be?” the doctor wondered, feeling confused. “There’s no way the cure could be wrong. Why would the patient cough up blood?”

“Please, think of something else, doctor! My grandfather is dying!” Dahlia cried in panic.

Henry showed no signs of life. Blood continued to flow from his nose, and it was clear his condition was worse than before. “Stay calm. Let me take a look,” the doctor said.
