“No wonder nobody wants to cause trouble here. Who knew Rosaline was with Lord Draco?”

“It’s not that people are scared to cause trouble; it’s just that anyone who does ends up dead! One billionaire tried to flirt with Rosaline, and Lord Draco had him maimed. After that, the billionaire didn’t dare do anything and even apologized personally.”

“Wow! That’s harsh!”

“Of course! Lord Draco is the toughest guy in South City. No one disrespects him!”

When everyone learned who Rosaline was, the bar buzzed with excitement. Some were shocked, some were impressed, and others just watched.

“We’re in big trouble!” James said, wiping the sweat off his forehead. If he had known Lord Draco was in charge, he wouldn’t have dared to cause any trouble, even if someone threatened him.

“How did I end up upsetting someone so powerful?”

Florence shrugged, looking scared. She wasn’t as bold as before. She could pick on weaker people, but against a tough guy like the Cobra, she felt small.

“Why so quiet? You were so bold earlier! Why not show us what you’ve got now?” smirked a muscular man.

Did anyone in South City not know about Sir Draco’s fearsome reputation? Almost nobody would dare to cross him!

“Don’t worry. I’m here. They won’t touch you,” Matt said, stepping forward.

Florence and James were surprised. They had almost forgotten they had someone to back them up!

Matt belonged to the Laney family from Millsburg. What did he have to fear in this place? No matter how powerful the Cobra was, he wouldn’t dare stand up to the Laney family, would he?!

With that thought, Florence and James straightened up.

“Matt, the Cobra rules this territory…”

“Is this really okay?” James asked cautiously.

“Don’t worry. He’s just a snake in the grass. He means nothing to me,” Matt replied with a small smile. He finally had a chance to show off his influence, and he was ready to impress.

“I’m glad to hear that!” James grinned. He thought he was in trouble, but now he felt hopeful again.

“Hey! What are you two whispering about? Are you going to pay up or not?” Rosaline shouted, losing her patience.

“What if we don’t pay? Do you really think we’re scared of you?” Florence mocked, putting her hands on her hips. With Matt by her side, she felt fearless.

“You won’t pay?” Rosaline laughed coldly. “If you don’t, we’ll do it Sir Draco’s way. Anyone who causes trouble here will lose their limbs!”

She raised her hands to signal her men. The muscular guys behind her pulled out their machetes and moved forward.

“Wait!” Matt hissed, stepping up. His good looks and confident presence always made an impression.

“And who are you? How dare you interfere?” Rosaline asked, sizing him up.

“I’m Matt Laney from the Laney family in Millsburg,” he said.

“The Laneys from Millsburg?”

The room erupted in chatter.

“An elite from Millsburg is here! This is going to be interesting!”

“No wonder those two are so brave. They have Mr. Laney backing them!”

“Mr. Laney is so handsome. I wonder if he has a girlfriend.”

The crowd buzzed with excitement. Their admiration made Florence and James feel proud. The Laney family’s reputation was powerful, and with their support, who would dare challenge them?

“So you’re Mr. Laney. Nice to meet you,” Rosaline said, forcing a smile.

“Done?” Matt scoffed. “You hit a friend of mine, and you think a few words will fix it? Nothing is free here.”

“What do you want then?” Rosaline frowned, feeling the tension rise.

“You need to pay up and apologize!”

“Apologize?” Rosaline’s expression darkened. She could handle this herself, but she was representing Sir Draco. Apologizing would feel like a slap in his face.

“Are you deaf? Apologize now, or I’ll destroy this place!” Florence chimed in, her arrogance making a comeback as she placed her hands on her hips.

“And you owe me five million for the beating!” James added loudly, feeling empowered with Matt’s support. He was ready to take full advantage of Matt’s influence.

“Mr. Laney, this is Sir Draco’s territory. Please, let’s not make enemies,” Rosaline pleaded, feeling uneasy.

“You want me to spare you? Who do you think you are?” Matt sneered. “Even if the Cobra were here, I’d still demand an apology. So don’t expect one from you!”

“Who does he think he is?” Rosaline thought, feeling the weight of the situation.

“Who thinks they can make me apologize?” a loud voice boomed across the bar.

A bald man wearing sunglasses and holding a cigar walked in with a menacing presence. His fierce look made the crowd step aside, creating a clear path for him.

“Sir Draco, what brings you here?” Rosaline exclaimed, her eyes brightening as she hurried to greet him.

“Just showing one of the gentlemen around,” he replied, glancing at the crowd.

The Cobra, another tough-looking man, placed an arm around Rosaline’s waist and asked, “What’s happening? I thought I heard someone asking for an apology from me.”

“It’s like this…” Rosaline started, sharing everything that had happened without leaving out any details.

“Mr. Laney from Millsburg, is it? So you’re the one who wants me to apologize?” The Cobra stepped closer to Matt, sizing him up with a hostile look.

“That’s right. Your people beat up my friend. Apologizing is the right thing to do,” Matt replied confidently, hands behind his back.

“Apologize? Screw you!” The Cobra shouted angrily, slapping Matt across the face.

Matt stumbled and almost fell.

“Damn!” he yelled, shocked.

The people in the bar stood frozen, taken aback by the sudden violence.
