An Understated Dominance - Chapter 94
When Sir Anderson arrived, everyone thought Dustin was in serious trouble. But to their surprise, when Sir Anderson saw Dustin, they just started talking like old friends.
The Cobra couldn’t believe what he was seeing. Even Florence and the others were shocked.
“This can’t be real, right? Does he really know Sir Anderson?” someone whispered.
“Who is that guy? How can he and Sir Anderson be chatting like that?” another person wondered.
The crowd buzzed with disbelief.
“Sir Anderson—you know him?” The Cobra stammered, feeling nervous and confused.
“Dustin is Natasha’s friend. Why did you think you could offend him?” Duane said, his tone growing colder.
“What? Ms. Harmon’s friend?” The Cobra was now truly frightened.
Natasha Harmon was a powerful figure in Swinton, backed by the wealthy families of Millburg. She was as important as Sir Anderson. Plus, she fiercely protected her friends. Anyone who crossed them would face serious consequences!
“Sir Anderson, I—” The Cobra stuttered.
“Enough whining. Just apologize to Dustin, and we can forget this ever happened,” Duane said, waving his hand dismissively.
“Okay, okay…” The Cobra nodded quickly and bowed to Dustin. “Mr. Rhys, I’m really sorry. I didn’t know who you were. Please forgive me this once.”
“You’re making it a bigger deal than it is. Just don’t seek revenge,” Dustin replied calmly.
“I wouldn’t dream of it…” The Cobra said, nervously wiping his sweat. “From now on, you and your friends will be treated like VIPs. Everything is on the house!”
His tone was humbler now.
The crowd was stunned. Just moments ago, the Cobra had been a villain, and now he was apologizing humbly.
“Dustin, let’s talk. This way,” Duane said seriously. He extended his hand to invite Dustin and led him up to the office on the second floor.
As soon as they left, the bar erupted with chatter.
“Did I just see that right? Did that fool just talk to Sir Anderson like they were friends?” James exclaimed, shocked.
Sir Anderson was the Cobra’s powerful backer. He had the ability to change everything in Swinton with just a flick of his finger.
“I think Ms. Harmon has something to do with this,” Dahlia suggested, quickly gathering her thoughts.
She remembered hearing Sir Anderson mention Natasha Harmon. It was clear he had spared Dustin because of the Harmon family’s reputation.
“You’re right! That must be it! How else could someone like him know such an important person?” James agreed eagerly.
“Hmph! I thought he might have real potential, but he’s just riding on someone else’s coattails!” Florence said, clearly annoyed.
“A real man should stand on his own. Relying on a woman to back him up isn’t impressive,” Dahlia said, shaking her head in disappointment. Climbing the social ladder by flattering someone might look good for a while, but it wouldn’t last.
“What a lucky guy!” Matt fumed, his face dark with anger. He was already humiliated from being slapped by the Cobra earlier, and now Dustin’s success made him feel even worse. He couldn’t accept that someone like Dustin had outshined him!
Meanwhile, in the office on the second floor, Dustin sat across from Duane, while the Cobra served them.
