An Understated Dominance - Chapter 96
Duane smiled confidently as the battle began. But soon, he realized something was very wrong. Dustin was much stronger than he had anticipated. Waves of energy crashed over him, making his hand shake. He felt like his bones were about to break!
Duane’s smile faded. He couldn’t hold back any longer. He swung a strong punch at Dustin, hoping to push him back. But Dustin didn’t dodge; he faced the punch head-on.
Their fists clashed, and Duane’s chair shattered into pieces! The impact knocked Duane backward until he hit the wall to steady himself. But Dustin stayed seated, calm and collected. They both knew who had the upper hand.
“Wow! I didn’t know you had tricks up your sleeve. I really underestimated you!” Duane’s eyes narrowed, his face showing a mix of emotions. He had never expected someone so young to be this powerful. Just one punch had knocked him off balance.
Although strength alone didn’t define fighting skills, it clearly showed Dustin’s physical power.
“Thanks for the Panax root, Duane,” Dustin said, not wasting any time. He grabbed the box and stood up to leave.
Duane already considered him untrustworthy. This was the last time they would work together.
“Sir Anderson, do you want me to send some men after him to get it back?” asked the Cobra, hesitantly. He could see that Duane and Dustin weren’t really friends, so he felt a bit safer.
“He’s quite strong. I doubt your men could handle him,” Duane replied, cautiously moving his numb arm.
“Are… are you just going to let him go like that?” The Cobra sounded a bit frustrated.
After feeling embarrassed earlier, Duane was determined to regain his pride.
“Let him go? Not a chance!” he sneered. “I will get my hands on the Gemiphen formula. Just wait! I have plenty of ways to make him give it to me!”
Outside the bar, Lyra arrived with the bodyguards from her company. She was relieved to see that Dahlia and the others were safe.
“Ms. Nicholson, is everything okay?” she asked.
“I suppose you could say that,” Dahlia replied with a nod.
“I heard this is the Cobra’s area and was worried there might be trouble. I didn’t think it would go so smoothly. I’m sure Mr. Laney played a big part in this?” Lyra smiled.

Matt’s mood quickly soured at Lyra’s comment. She always knew how to get under his skin!
“Hmm? Why is he here?” Lyra wondered as she spotted Dustin walking out of the bar.
Dustin asked, “What are you still doing here? Waiting for someone to get revenge on you? I don’t have the energy to save you again.” He spoke calmly while holding a wooden box.
“Who needs saving? You’re so nosy!” Florence snapped.
“Stop showing off! If it weren’t for Ms. Harmon, you wouldn’t have made it out alive!” James chimed in mockingly.
“Enough!” Dahlia waved her hands to cut off their arguing. She turned to Dustin and said, “Thanks for saving us, but I don’t approve of how you did it.”
“Oh? Do you have any advice, Ms. Nicholson?” Dustin raised an eyebrow.
“You’re too impulsive! You act without thinking. Have you ever considered the consequences of your actions?” Dahlia asked.
“I don’t know what consequences my actions would have…”
“I’m sure your brother would have lost his hands,” Dustin replied calmly.
