Chapter 101
**Chapter 101**
Liberty shared, “There’s a part two to the story. It details how Grandmom was admitted to the hospital and prepared for surgery, with a date set, all thanks to the generosity of kind netizens.”
She continued, “The netizens are really coming down hard on us, labeling us as ingrates.”
It seemed that, according to their comments, Granddad and Grandmom had faced significant challenges while raising them, yet now that they had found success, they felt they had repaid their grandparents with nothing.
Adding to the guilt, they pointed out that they hadn’t even visited Grandmom during her illness in the hospital.
“They’re saying we’re heartless and a disappointment to our grandparents and deceased parents.” Liberty felt a slow burn of frustration as she scrolled through the hurtful comments all day, especially when her parents were brought into the discussion.
In her heart, she knew Mom and Dad had been far better children to Granddad and Grandmom than her uncles had been when they were alive.
Yet, this was the treatment that Mom and Dad received from Grandmom and Granddad in death.
“Liberty, don’t let those keyboard warriors get to you,” Serenity advised. “They don’t know the truth and will believe anything they read.
It’s sad, really; they think they’re being noble and compassionate, but they’re just pawns used to inflict pain on the innocent.”
Serenity locked eyes with Zachary before turning back to comfort her sister.
“Don’t waste your energy on them, Liberty. We know their true nature.”
“I’ll take care of your diary now and give them a taste of their own medicine.”
Zachary interjected at just the right moment. “I have connections in the press. We’ll fight back.” He planned to ensure that everyone would learn how ruthless the Hunts truly were.
Were Serenity’s cousins really advancing in their careers? Zachary was eager to watch their future unfold and see if it remained as secure as it seemed now after all this.
Zachary’s ruthless reputation would certainly not be upheld if he didn’t manage to bring the Hunts to their downfall. Meanwhile, Serenity took the initiative to gather evidence, snapping photos of Liberty’s diary and recording voice notes to share on Twitter.
Before long, the response from the ungrateful granddaughter went viral, largely thanks to Zachary’s influence. The tweet quickly overshadowed the gossip surrounding Zachary and Elisa, soaring to the top of the trending list.
Liberty’s diary revealed the true events that had unfolded. At just fifteen years old, Liberty’s writing showcased her youthful perspective. The abrupt loss of their parents, coupled with relatives’ demands for a share of the life insurance money, opened the sisters’ eyes to a treacherous world they had never before encountered.
