“Why not?” she asked.
“You should discuss with your sister whether she wants to continue her marriage. If they’re looking to reconcile, as her sister-in-law, you shouldn’t try to teach your brother-in-law a lesson. While you can’t act like nothing happened, it never hurts to ask.
“Even though you have a strong bond with your sister, she and her husband are committed for the long haul. If you create a scene, it may hinder their ability to move on. What if they decide to make up? You could end up being the villain, and your sister might hold you responsible for confronting your brother-in-law.”
