Chapter 151
“Sure,” Zachary said, happily agreeing to her request. He decided to ask Josh to order crafts from her online business, knowing that Josh would likely wonder why he was involved again. Serenity planned to visit her brother-in-law at the Browns’ residence later, but to her surprise, the Browns contacted her first. While on her way to work, she received a call from Jasmine, who informed her that Hank’s mother and sister were waiting for her at the shop.
It was fortunate that they sought her out, as it saved her the trip to the Browns’ home. Zachary asked, “Do you need my help?”
“I’m good. Only Hank’s mother and sister are at the shop. Women don’t usually get into serious fights; we might bicker a little. You don’t need to get involved with them; it’s beneath you,” she replied.

Zachary, being a cultured individual, wouldn’t pick a fight—verbally or physically—unless provoked. Since Serenity didn’t require his assistance, he dropped her off at the shop and headed to work. On the drive, he felt a bit down, noting that he was wearing the suit Serenity had bought for him. She hadn’t seemed to notice during their breakfast together or when he drove her to the shop.
With such a handsome husband by her side, he wondered why she wasn’t paying more attention to him. By the time Zachary arrived at the office, it was nine o’clock, and fortunately, Elisa was not there to obstruct his entrance. He left his miniature tree in the car since there weren’t many people around. Taking the elevator straight to the top floor, he encountered Josh as he stepped out. Josh had…
With a file of papers tucked under his elbow and a phone in his right hand for a call, Josh noticed Zachary and abandoned his attempt to make the call. “I have an urgent document that needs your signature. I assumed you weren’t coming to the office since I hadn’t seen you around,” he said.
Zachary explained softly, “I arrived late because I had to drive my wife to work.”
