Elisa was left speechless.
Was she bratty and willful?
Upon reflection, Elisa had to admit that she did indeed act like a spoiled child.
This was largely due to being the favorite of the Stones. Although her family’s affection did not make her arrogant, Elisa was not the easiest person to get along with. She would not hesitate to dismiss anyone she disliked if she found them lingering around her.
She showed little regard for the feelings of others.
Even her relatives were not exempt from her displeasure.
After a moment, Elisa expressed her gratitude to Serenity, saying, “Thank you for telling me this, Serenity. No one has ever spoken to me about correcting my bad behavior.”
Serenity thought to herself, ‘Who would be so blunt as to say that directly to you?’
She had the courage to make such a suggestion because she did not belong to Elisa’s social circle. Moreover, Elisa regarded Serenity as her love guru.

Having awoken from her afternoon nap, Jasmine emerged after overhearing Serenity talking to someone. She rubbed her eyes upon seeing Elisa. Oh, it was a stranger.
Nonetheless, there was something oddly familiar about the girl. Jasmine felt as though she had seen her somewhere before.
Jasmine had never met Elisa in person; the only reason she found her familiar was that she had come across a photograph of Elisa online.
While discussing Mr. York and Elisa, Jasmine had once told her best friend that the two seemed like a good match.
“You’re up, Jasmine.” Serenity gestured for her best friend to come over and introduced her to Elisa. “Ms. Stone, this is my best friend and business partner, Jasmine.” Although Elisa did not connect with Jasmine as she did with Serenity, she nodded graciously at Jasmine as a polite greeting out of respect for Serenity.
Jasmine froze when she discovered that the proud and beautiful woman was the sister of the CEO of Stone Group, who had been boldly asking Mr. York out. Her gaping mouth and wide eyes amused Elisa.
While Elisa connected well with Serenity and was open to sharing her secrets, she became reserved around others. With Jasmine awake from her nap, Elisa stood up and excused herself.
“Ms. Stone, this maneki-neko is for you,” Serenity said, handing Elisa the lucky cat she had originally intended for Zachary. Since she was married to Zachary, delaying the gift by a few days didn’t seem to matter.
Elisa gratefully accepted the gift and requested the link to Serenity’s online business. As Serenity wrapped the maneki-neko in a gift bag, Elisa mentioned, “I’ll be going to the beach for a holiday with my mom this afternoon. We have a beachfront estate there and plenty of fresh seafood to enjoy. I’ll bring you some when I return.”
Serenity loved seafood too much to pass on it. “I look forward to it,” she replied.
Serenity was exactly the type of friend Elisa wanted. She was straightforward about her likes and dislikes, accepting or rejecting gifts based on her preferences without any pretense. Serenity was open with her emotions and intentions, which Elisa appreciated.
Elisa was not a snob; she was eager to befriend anyone she connected with, regardless of their background or social status. In that regard, she was very much like Grandma May.
