chapter 231
Zachary’s expression darkened, and his thin lips pressed together tightly.
“You need to know a few tricks if you want to win over your wife. Of course, the most crucial thing is your sincerity.” He replied coldly, “Nana, I won’t chase after my wife.” “Alright, alright, you won’t. Just keep being stubborn. One day, you’ll be the one begging me for help, hehe.”
“I’m leaving now. You take your time getting ready. If you’re not hungry for breakfast, learn from me. My method is tried and true. I have much more experience than you.”
“Yes, it’s in the car.”
Old Mrs. York nodded in response.
Zachary opened the door for her and assisted her inside.
he needs assistance, then offer it. If it’s not fixable, we’ll find another way around.”
Zachary entered the car and noticed three insulated lunch boxes on the seat. He pursed his lips, remaining silent as he watched Old Mrs. York depart while he stood still. After a moment, he turned and walked back inside the villa.
His morning jog had concluded. After changing his clothes, he headed downstairs for breakfast. Since Old Mrs. York had instructed Sam to pack three servings of breakfast for her to take away, the kitchen had prepared a meal for Zachary, which was also packed. They quickly assembled another portion for him, though it was not elaborate due to time constraints.
Zachary lacked much of an appetite and chose not to argue with the kitchen staff about the meal. He took a couple of bites and drank half a cup of coffee to boost his energy before leaving with his bodyguard team.
The concrete road in front of the villa connected to a major expressway, which all residents had to use. Zachary’s motorcade had traveled halfway down this road when they were forced to halt. A vehicle was stopped directly in their path.
Since this was not a public road, it was only wide enough for two cars to pass each other with caution; otherwise, a collision was likely. The car blocking the way was positioned right in the center of the road, leaving no room for vehicles behind it to maneuver around.
Zachary’s driver honked the horn. The driver of the stalled vehicle climbed out and, with a hint of embarrassment, announced, “My car broke down.”
Zachary’s driver turned to him and said, “Mr. Zachary, there’s a car in front that has broken down.”
No one could decipher Zachary’s thoughts. After hearing the driver’s report, he glanced at the car ahead and instructed, “You two get out and assess the situation. If it’s repairable, help him. If not, we’ll find an alternative route.”
“It’s taking too long. Ask everyone to help push his car to the side, and then advise him to call for a tow truck. Make sure not to block the way for others.”
