Hank immediately ceased his work and took Jessica out with him.
As the manager, Hank frequently brought his secretary, Jessica, along for business outings, which meant that no one raised any eyebrows when they left the office together.
The janitor spotted Hank driving away with Jessica at the office entrance and remarked to an elderly security guard, “Mr. Brown and Ms. Yates are constantly coming and going together. Doesn’t Liberty worry that Mr. Brown might cheat on her?”

The old security guard looked at the janitor with surprise.
After ensuring that no one else was nearby, he lowered his voice and replied, “You clean the office every day and have access to the entire building. Don’t you know what’s going on? Mr. Brown and Ms. Yates are having an affair. How could you not be aware of it?”
The janitor, taken aback, asked curiously, “How do you know?”
“Anyone with eyes can see it! After work, Ms. Yates always dresses in high-end brands and carries an expensive LV bag. Given her income, how can she afford such extravagance? She comes from an average family, after all.
“Clearly, her designer clothes, bags, and jewelry are gifts from Mr. Brown. Some people have even spotted them having dinner together after work. They seem quite close. No one would believe them if they claimed they weren’t involved.”
The janitor responded, “Liberty must be oblivious to this, right? They invited everyone to their wedding, and I still recall how stunning Liberty looked on that day; she was truly captivating.”
“It’s only been a few short years, yet Mr. Brown has already found a new lover. Men really can’t stay faithful.”
“People wet themselves when they have money,” she thought, feeling sorry for Liberty.
“Liberty hasn’t visited Mr. Brown in the past two years and likely has no idea what’s happening. She probably doesn’t even know that Mr. Brown is cheating on her. Ms. Yates isn’t an innocent girl; just wait and see. One day, she’ll reveal the truth to Liberty and push her towards a divorce.”
With a sigh, the janitor remarked, “We used to think Liberty was fortunate to be married to a young, promising man like Mr. Brown. Our bosses appreciate him, so he certainly has a bright future ahead.”
“Who would have guessed…”
Although Hank had enjoyed a successful career, he was no different from the callous men who abandon their wives after becoming wealthy and cheat on Liberty.
“No one has told Liberty about this?”
The old security guard replied, “It’s been years since Liberty left the company. Who would remember her? She hasn’t provided any benefits to others, so it’s remarkable if they even greet her when they see her.”
