Tatum briskly exited the CEO’s office.
As he stepped out, he encountered Tinsley, who was on her way to see Elora.
“Second Miss,” Tatum greeted her politely.
Tinsley nodded slightly. Once Tatum had walked away, she knocked on the office door and entered.
“Tatum came in early today to cook for Elora,” she remarked casually.
Holding a folder, Tinsley approached Elora’s desk. She opened the folder as she sat down and handed it to her sister. “Elora, this document is urgent. Please review it first,” she said.
Elora took the folder, her eyes scanning the pages as she responded, “He arrives at the same time every day. He’s never early or late.”
Tinsley added, “That guy Labbe is here again.”
She had just learned that Mr. Labbe, the infamous schemer, had returned to request a meeting with Elora.
Without looking up, Elora replied, “I didn’t meet with him. He brought gifts, claiming they were New Year’s presents for us. I had someone return them. He’s ambitious and has ulterior motives. We’re too busy protecting ourselves from him to consider any collaboration.”
Although the Labbe family was influential and powerful, Elora did not trust Mr. Labbe. She disliked him as well.
