Married At First Sight Chapter 4095
Chapter 4095
Kathryn noticed Liberty’s unease, likely arising from the prospect of managing the Farrell family on her own once she assumed leadership. In an effort to reassure her, Kathryn smiled and said, “I’ll continue to support you until you feel completely ready to take over. Once you are, I’ll step back.”
Over the past two or three years, Kathryn had acquired considerable experience in managing the Farrell family, far exceeding Liberty’s current knowledge.
Having only been in Jensburg for a few months, Liberty still had much to learn. When she first arrived, her focus was on her new company, which left her unfamiliar with the inner workings of the Farrell family.
During Clarissa’s lifetime, she had been very protective of Liberty, ensuring that she remained uninformed about many family matters. Consequently, Liberty now found herself struggling to understand the complexities of the Farrell family.
“I know you won’t leave right away,” Liberty admitted. “But I still have so much to learn. If I take over now, I won’t have the credibility to lead. Let’s wait until I’m more familiar with everything.”
Kathryn suggested, “How about Qingming? I’ll lead the family during the ancestral worship ceremony, and that can act as a transitional moment.”
With Qingming still one or two months away, this would give Liberty time to prepare.
Liberty hesitated before responding, “Qingming seems fine for the ceremony, but I don’t think I should officially assume the leadership role at that time.”
Kathryn nodded thoughtfully. “How about this: we’ll schedule an earlier date for the formal handover, and you can lead the family during the ancestral ceremony on Qingming. Does that work?”
After some consideration, Liberty agreed. “Alright, that sounds reasonable.”
She then
“Kathryn, would you consider staying for another year or two? You wouldn’t need to be involved in the day-to-day operations; you could focus on your own projects while still being here to guide me,” she added.
Kathryn smiled warmly. “Let’s see how things unfold. Seren is about to have her baby, right? I’ll stay until after the baby is born. Once the baby turns one month old, I’ll return to Wiltspoon for the celebration, and then I’ll leave.”
“She’s over seven months pregnant now,” Liberty replied. “So, her due date is a little over two months away. Of course, due dates aren’t always precise—some babies come early, while others arrive later.”
Liberty secretly hoped to gain enough confidence and experience before her sister Serenity gave birth, allowing her to free up time to return to Wiltspoon. When Serenity went into labor, Liberty planned to stay by her side until Serenity was discharged from the hospital and settled in at home with the baby. After that, she intended to return to Jensburg, but when the baby turned one month old, she would go back to Wiltspoon to celebrate with Kathryn.
As they continued their conversation, the two women entered the stunning main house and settled onto the plush sofa.
Jim, Liberty’s trusted bodyguard, followed them inside while the other guards remained outside, keeping watch. Jim, who had been with Liberty the longest and was assigned to her by her sister Serenity, had earned her deep trust.
Meanwhile, Pedro, Kathryn’s indispensable assistant, brought water and fruit for both Kathryn and Liberty. Over time, Pedro had become inseparable from Kathryn, always attending to her needs with precision.
Suddenly, loud shouting erupted from outside.
“Kathryn! Kathryn! Get out here!”
The yelling was unmistakable—it was Kathryn’s three brothers. Kathryn had previously issued strict
Orders prohibited them from entering the Farrell family mansion freely. Previously, she had arranged for their belongings to be packed and delivered, fearing they might strip the mansion of its valuables. Now, the mansion was staffed entirely by new personnel, with none of the former staff who had been loyal to Clarissa remaining. Audrey, Liberty, and Kathryn had carefully selected the current household staff. Kathryn had adopted a hands-off approach, personally choosing only a few individuals. She assured Liberty that once Liberty moved in, she could replace any of Kathryn’s selections if she found them unsatisfactory.
