Married At First Sight Chapter 4109
Chapter 4109
Serenity said, “Yes, having my aunt around gives us someone to rely on. We don’t know much about the Farrell family, nor do we have any emotional ties to them. However, my aunt is part of the Farrell family—she’s my grandmother’s eldest daughter. Even though she and my mom left home at a young age, the Farrell family remains her family. The most important aspect is my aunt’s capabilities. Before I married you, I had already heard about her talents and know that she is responsible for half of the Stone Group’s current success. I used to worry about my sister, but now that you’ve mentioned it, I feel much more at ease.”
Zachary embraced her and replied, “There’s no need to worry. We all have experience in managing large companies; we just need to guide my sister a little.”
Serenity smiled. “You don’t have to teach her; my brother-in-law will take care of that. Please don’t try to take over his role.”
Zachary chuckled. After laughing, he gently kissed Serenity’s forehead and pulled her into a tighter embrace. “Seren, the best decision I ever made was listening to my grandmother and marrying you. My two good friends should thank us too. If it weren’t for us, they’d probably still be single.”
Had Zachary not married Serenity, Josh might not have met Jasmine, and Duncan may not have ended up with Liberty.
While Liberty initially met Duncan by accidentally bumping into his car, without Zachary and Serenity, their relationship may not have developed.
Serenity teased, “Then you should go find your two friends and ask for a matchmaker’s red envelope. Tell them they owe their happy marriages to me—your amazing wife.”
Zachary grinned and lowered his head to playfully tap her lips with his own. “You’re absolutely right. Thanks to marrying you, I didn’t just end…
single life—I also assisted them in concluding theirs too. “I’ll make sure to ask Josh for that red envelope tomorrow,” she said.
“Be careful,” Serenity cautioned with a laugh. “Josh might decide to take more time off and leave you swamped with work.”
Jasmine was a month further along in her pregnancy than Serenity. At eight months pregnant, she was due to give birth in the next month. Josh had been urging Zachary to clear his schedule so he could take a month off to care for Jasmine after the baby arrived.
“If the company isn’t too busy,” Josh had mentioned, “I might even take three months. The first three months are the toughest, and I don’t want Jasmine to feel overwhelmed.”
Zachary reminded him that they had already hired a nanny and a confinement nanny for Jasmine and the baby. “Why do you need to do it all yourself?” he asked.
Josh’s reply was straightforward: “A child you care for yourself grows closer to you.”
Zachary had no counterargument. He knew better than to argue too much, as Josh would likely respond with more valid points. After all, Serenity was also due to give birth in two months, and Zachary realized he would probably be stepping into the role of a hands-on dad.
“Josh told me he wants to take maternity leave,” Zachary said, shaking his head. “He’s not even the one having the baby! I’m giving him a month off to support his wife, and now he’s discussing taking three months—or even half a year—like the women in the company. What am I supposed to do? I want to take leave too!”
He turned to Serenity and added, “Seren, after our baby is born, we need to spend as much time as possible with them. That way, the baby will grow close to us.”
Zachary reflected on how he and his brothers had primarily been raised by their grandparents. While they respected and honored their parents, the bond with their
Grandparents have always shared a deeper and closer bond.
