Chapter 4115
**Married At First Sight Chapter 4115**
Duncan said, “I’m not picky. I’ll eat whatever you choose. Let’s start with some soup.”
He was easygoing.
This was typical of their interactions—Duncan took care of Liberty, and Liberty looked after him.
Liberty served him a bowl of soup and selected a dish for him with her chopsticks.
In return, Duncan placed her favorite dish in her bowl.
Kathryn and Pedro sat across from them.
“How long are you staying this time, Mr. Lewis?” Kathryn inquired.
For her, Duncan moving into the Farrell family mansion felt like coming home. However, she understood that his real home was in Wiltspoon, where his business, family, and friends were located.
“I’ll return once Liberty’s job is stable,” Duncan replied.
He intended to stay until she secured her position within the Farrell family.
Kathryn smiled at Liberty. “You made the right choice this time. No matter what challenges lie ahead, he’ll always be by your side.”
Liberty picked up another piece of food for Duncan and said, “That’s right. I made a mistake once—I had to be more careful the second time. Choosing the right person is everything.”
She and Duncan exchanged a loving glance. “We promised each other—we’ll never leave. We’ll grow old together.”
Kathryn chuckled. “You should consider having a daughter soon. Has anyone been encouraging you to have a second child? If not, let me take on the role of the bad guy this time.”
She added, “A daughter would not only carry on President Lewis’s legacy but also ensure the Farrell family has a successor. One child is enough—there’s no need for a ‘spare’ to repeat the mistakes of the past.”
Kathryn wanted Liberty to understand that having more than one daughter could lead to resentment. If one became the heir while the other received nothing, jealousy could arise.
take root, leading to ambition and conflict. She had witnessed it before—familial bonds shattered, relatives turning against one another, all in the pursuit of power. Liberty nodded. “I’m not young anymore. If I have another baby, I would be an older mother. I don’t intend to go through that again.”
“But the successor of the Farrell family must be a daughter. There’s no guarantee your second child will be a girl. We could use advanced medical technology to ensure it,” Kathryn suggested.
Duncan interjected, “That would subject Liberty to a lot, and I don’t want her to endure that. We’ll let nature take its course. In a year or two, when things are more stable, we’ll try for another child. Whether it’s a son or a daughter, that’s up to fate.”
IVF can be challenging for women, and Duncan wasn’t willing to put Liberty through that.
“Next year would be an ideal time to start,” Kathryn advised. “As she gets older, pregnancy will become more difficult. It’s much easier when you’re younger.”
She spoke like a wise elder, encouraging them to plan ahead.
“With Liberty’s abilities, she’ll stabilize the Farrell family within a year,” Kathryn added. “Currently, they aren’t as united as they once were. Without unity, they won’t achieve much.”
