Married At First Sight Chapter 4122
Chapter 4122
“Take your time. You’ll close the gap soon enough. I believe you have what it takes to lead the Farrell family back to the top. But let’s set that aside for now; we need to address this work issue first.”
After discussing family matters for a while, Kathryn shifted the conversation to business and handed Liberty the documents she had brought.
They reviewed the details together and strategized on how to resolve the issue.
At noon, Duncan arrived early at the company, waiting for Liberty so they could have lunch together.
Standing at the entrance of the office building, Kathryn watched them leave, feeling a twinge of envy.
She missed Pedro. Although he was still protecting her, he had transitioned from being openly by her side to operating in the shadows, which she found difficult to adjust to.
However, to entice her three brothers into her trap, she had to endure this change—and be patient.
In her heart, she urged them to act more quickly; she didn’t want to wait too long.
Just then, Marco and his two brothers stepped out of the elevator, engrossed in conversation.
When they noticed Kathryn standing outside, they hesitated for a moment but quickly pretended not to see her. Without a word, they veered to her right and walked past her.
Moments later, three cars drove away from the Farrell Group building.
Kathryn lingered for a while before heading to the parking lot, where her personal bodyguard was already waiting by the car. As soon as he spotted her approaching, he rushed over, and another bodyguard opened the car door for her.
Meanwhile, after leaving the company, Marco didn’t go to the Farrell Group’s hotel for lunch. Instead, he returned to his private villa in Jensburg’s upscale residential area. When he got married, his mother had purchased the villa outright and fully furnished it.
Marco gifted the property to himself and his wife as their marital home, registering it in both of their names. When Marco divorced Erika after over a decade of marriage and three children—who all lived with Erika—she decided not to fight for the house. Marco compensated her financially for her choice. His two younger brothers followed him home.
As Marco approached the villa community, he noticed two men squatting near the entrance. The security guards were watching them closely, concerned that they might cause trouble. As soon as the men spotted Marco’s car, they quickly stood up, adjusted their clothes, and attempted to appear more presentable. Marco stopped the car, and they hurried over, their expressions eager and submissive. When Marco rolled down the window, one of them said respectfully, “Master Farrell, we’ve been waiting here for a long time.”
“Call me Mr. Janzen,” Marco corrected him, his tone firm. “I’m no longer the Master of the Farrell family.” The Farrell family no longer belonged to them, and they had no right to enter the family estate. Marco didn’t want to be addressed as “Master Farrell” any longer; after all, his surname wasn’t even Farrell.
During his mother’s reign, they had been at the center of power, but now she was gone. Those who once surrounded them had long distanced themselves, and even the few who still remained no longer treated them with the same respect. People could be so fickle.
“Get in the car,” he instructed, unlocking the doors to let the two men climb in. “Thank you,” they said hurriedly as they took their seats in the back. Marco then drove into the villa community. “How’s Auntie doing?” he asked, keeping his eyes on the road. “Is she feeling better?”
Both men in the backseat nodded. “She’s improving significantly. Shiloh has been gone for quite some time, and my mother is finally beginning to move on.”
