Married At First Sight Chapter 4135
Chapter 4135
The nanny for Marco’s family had been working for Pedro for quite some time. Whenever Pedro needed assistance, the nanny would be there to help.
She was responsible for sending video recordings to Pedro, who then forwarded them to Kathryn.
After reviewing the evidence, Kathryn dismissed any thoughts of rest. She got out of bed and made her way to the bathroom. After a quick wash, she came out, grabbed her phone, and exited the lounge.
She brewed a cup of coffee, then walked over to her desk, sitting down to sip it leisurely.
Knock knock.
There was a knock at the door.
“Come in.”
As Kathryn spoke, the office door swung open.
Marco entered.
Upon seeing him, Kathryn’s sharp gaze flickered, but her expression remained composed. She continued sipping her coffee as he approached.
“Kathryn.”
Marco forced a small smile, his tone oddly familiar.
Kathryn set her coffee down, straightened, and replied, “Brother, please call me by my full name. I find it uncomfortable when you just say ‘Kathryn.’ And if you can’t genuinely smile at me, don’t bother. Your forced smile is worse than a grimace and dampens my mood.”
Marco’s fake smile froze, and his expression darkened. Dropping the pretense, he took a seat across from her.
“I don’t want to smile at you. Every time I see you, I feel like slapping you.”
His words were laced with anger.
Kathryn smirked. “Now that’s more like it. That’s the brother I recognize. You hate me, so why pretend we share some deep sibling bond? I’m accustomed to your cold glares.”
Marco’s voice was filled with frustration. “If you acted like a younger sister and treated us as your brothers, we wouldn’t be at odds. We share the same blood, Kathryn. People say blood is thicker than
Water is essential, yet here we are—acting like adversaries.
“When you first returned, we were indeed distant. We favored Shiloh because she was the sister we knew. We didn’t realize she wasn’t our biological sibling. We had cherished her for over twenty years, and suddenly, she wasn’t our sister anymore—you were. Accepting that was difficult. If the roles had been reversed, you wouldn’t have coped any better.
“However, over time, we’ve made an effort to treat you well. In contrast, you’ve never acknowledged us as your brothers. You don’t even show respect for Dad. You’ve been a part of the Farrell family for years now. Even if we aren’t close, we have not treated you poorly. Yet, you continue to keep us at a distance, as if we don’t belong in the same family. The issue isn’t with us—it’s with you. You refuse to embrace being part of this family.”
Marco always had much to say whenever he encountered Kathryn, never hesitating to remind her of her perceived coldness.
Kathryn chuckled. “Brother, you’re middle-aged, yet your memory is already fading? Should I start listing everything you’ve done behind my back?”
