Married At First Sight Chapter 4146
Chapter 4146
Timothy had bought a villa in Annenburg and planned to stay there until he caught up with Tinsley. He also had business matters to attend to in Annenburg and needed a place to stay, as living in a hotel indefinitely wasn’t feasible. The villa was conveniently located just a ten-minute drive from Ormond’s mansion—essentially next door.
On his way home, Timothy received a call from his mother, who was checking in on him. After discussing business, her tone softened, revealing a rare sincerity.
“Timothy, please don’t turn out like your father. If you genuinely care about the second young lady of the Ormond family, be sincere with her. A man like your father is too fickle; marrying him has been the greatest misfortune of my life.
“I had no choice but to stay. I’ve been married to your father for decades. He has pulled me into too many situations, and now I’m bound to him for our family’s sake and its interests. But if I could turn back time, I would prefer to remain single forever rather than marry a man like him.
“You know what I’ve endured—the humiliation I’ve faced. You all feel sorry for me, but don’t just pity me—learn from my experiences. If you love that girl, show her. No matter how much she doubts you, time will reveal your sincerity. Don’t be like your father; don’t seek something else when you already have the best right in front of you.
“As for your father, I’ve lost interest in him. I have no idea where he spends his money, and frankly, I don’t want to know. I’ve grown numb.”
Mrs. Labbe was not unaware of her husband’s infidelities; she had simply reached a point where the pain had faded into indifference.
Divorce was not an option due to the numerous financial and business interests at stake, so she endured.
None of it mattered to her anymore. As long as her husband’s business empire would eventually belong to her children, she didn’t care how many women he had on the side. However, she was determined not to let her son follow the same path.
Timothy inherited his father’s philandering nature, but at least he wasn’t as reckless. He had witnessed his mother’s suffering firsthand and felt a deep pity for her. He had attempted to reason with his father in the past, but the old man never listened; he just continued to pursue younger women.
“Mom, is Dad still in Wiltspoon? That woman must have some tricks to keep him there for so long,” he sighed. “I really mean it this time—Tinsley doesn’t believe me, but I will only marry one wife.”
Mrs. Labbe didn’t respond immediately. Her son had changed; after spending time with his father, he was not the same. People often said a son could never truly comprehend his mother’s pain, and now she believed that to be true.
With a soft sigh, she simply told him to take care of himself before ending the call. Timothy had no idea what was on her mind. He assumed she had called to urge him to intervene in his father’s affairs once again—to stop him from running around with gold diggers.
Regardless, he knew he needed to spend more time with her. After all, she was his father’s wife—Mrs. Labbe. Women outside the family were merely entertainment, distractions that could warm a bed but could never be taken seriously.
Without hesitation, Timothy called his father. “When are you coming home?” he asked, his tone casual yet firm. He didn’t wait for a response before adding, “You should spend more time with Mom. Don’t just chase after something new and forget about the one who’s been by your side all these years.”
