Married At First Sight Chapter 4170
Chapter 4170
Kathryn loved her three sons deeply. She ensured they received the best education, secured prestigious jobs, purchased houses and cars for them, and even matched them with wives of equal status.
She fulfilled every duty expected of a mother.
There was no doubt about her love for them. However, when it came to dividing her estate, the three sons received significantly less than their children.
Clarissa decided to leave most of her wealth to her grandchildren.
She believed they had their entire futures ahead of them and required a stronger financial foundation.
In contrast, her sons spent extravagantly on alcohol and women, made reckless business investments, and lavished money on mistresses without hesitation.
Even in the face of their infidelities, Clarissa chose to support them. She gently persuaded their wives not to leave, unwilling to see their marriages crumble.
Yet, deep down, she harbored resentment towards her sons.
They couldn’t control their impulses, just like their father.
Holden had been restrained for years, too afraid to act on his desires. But when the opportunity arose, he followed in his brothers’ footsteps.
Clarissa took it upon herself to drive their mistresses out of Jensburg.
She was determined to prevent those women from continuing to ruin her sons’ marriages.
However, she was aging. How much longer could she keep them in check?
Their sons’ in-laws lacked the wealth of the Farrells. Once she was gone, there would be no one left to rein them in.
Their marriages would ultimately fall apart.
That’s why she hadn’t given them substantial money—she knew they would waste it on mistresses, leaving nothing for their own children.
Instead, she allocated a portion of her estate directly to her
grandchildren, ensuring their future security. Clarissa had been aware that altering her will would create difficulties for Kathryn. However, she believed Kathryn was strong enough to cope with it. She trusted that her daughter wouldn’t allow her brothers to intimidate her. Kathryn was tired of arguing. There seemed to be no purpose in it. For years, she and her brothers had fought over wealth and status. She had explained her position to them repeatedly—until her voice became hoarse and her words lost their significance. Yet, they had never listened. Even if they had, they wouldn’t be in this situation tonight. Marco, who had been observing the road, noticed something. “Noel, call Shiloh’s brothers. Find out if they’re still pursuing us,” he instructed. There were no headlights visible in the rearview mirror. No vehicles were following them. Noel nodded and called Shiloh’s eldest brother. The man answered after a few rings. “Second Young Master, we’re not following you anymore. Tomorrow, we’ll go to the eldest Young Master’s house to collect the remainder of our payment. Kathryn’s bodyguard and driver escaped, and the car was wrecked at the scene.” Noel’s tone turned cold. “Move the vehicle. We can’t have it blocking traffic. Then head back. Come to my eldest brother’s house at noon tomorrow for the rest of the money. We need to withdraw the cash from the bank first.” “Understood.” As soon as the call ended, Noel turned to Marco. “Brother, they know too much. I think we should just kill them. Dead men don’t talk.” Tonight, they had already crossed a line—they were about to kill their own sister. So why should Shiloh’s brothers be spared? They were loose ends. Sage agreed. “Big Brother, Noel’s right. Once they take the money, what’s to stop them from returning for more when they run out?”
