Married At First Sight Chapter 4177
Chapter 4177
Farrell Mansion
In the master bedroom, Liberty suddenly jolted awake after just two hours of sleep. Her sudden movement startled her husband beside her. “What’s wrong? Did you have a nightmare?” Duncan asked, sitting up, turning on the bedside lamp, and looking at her with concern. “I dreamt that Kathryn was in danger,” Liberty replied, her voice tinged with anxiety. “She wouldn’t let me accompany her. She intended to get hurt on purpose. I’m worried she may have put her life at risk.”
After spending considerable time with Kathryn, Liberty had grown to admire her. If it weren’t for the deep-seated grudges from the previous generation, she and Kathryn could have formed a close friendship. Even now, there was a mutual respect between them. Among everyone in the Farrell family, Kathryn was the only one Liberty genuinely liked. Not just her; Hayden felt the same way. At one point, Hayden had even contemplated setting Kathryn up with Hugh. However, Hugh showed no interest in Kathryn, and she, too, had no feelings for him. Kathryn admired Hayden, but since Hayden was a woman, she realized she could never have her. Gradually, Kathryn found herself attracted to Pedro instead. Although Pedro was an orphan, his devotion and loyalty to Kathryn were undeniable, making them a perfect match.
“I’m calling Kathryn,” Liberty declared, grabbing her phone without concern for the late hour. The phone rang. As soon as the call connected, Liberty let out a sigh of relief. If Kathryn’s phone had been off, it would have indicated she was still in danger—likely in her brothers’ hands, unable to ask for help. Moments later, someone answered. “Miss Hunt.” It was Pedro. Hearing his voice brought Liberty a sense of relief.
was short-lived. Her heart tightened with worry.
“What happened? How’s Kathryn?” she asked anxiously.
“It’s over,” Pedro replied, his voice laden with concern. “Miss has been rescued. She’s injured.
She was just taken to the hospital—she’s in the emergency room now.”
The pain in his voice was unmistakable.
He had seen the knife wound on Kathryn’s right arm, the bruises on her face, and the swelling on
her nose. He wasn’t sure how severe her injuries were, but it was clear they were significant.
Pedro had never supported Kathryn’s plan, yet she had insisted on it.
She believed that by setting this trap, they could eradicate her brothers in one decisive
blow—ensuring they would never pose a threat again.
Even if they were released in a few years, or even a decade, the Farrell family would no
longer be the same. By then, Liberty’s power would be unassailable.
After years in prison, her brothers wouldn’t be preoccupied with revenge.
And Kathryn?
She and Pedro would leave Jensburg behind, vanishing to a place where no one knew
them, allowing them to start anew.
If her brothers were wise, they’d accept their fate and keep a low profile.
Their future might not be glamorous, but they wouldn’t starve.
It was the best compromise Kathryn could offer, a way to honor the mother who had—at least
in her later years—truly cared for her.
Her mother had sacrificed so much for her.
And despite her hatred for her brothers, they were still her mother’s sons.
No mother wishes to see all her children dead.
In gratitude for her mother’s love, Kathryn had spared them once—by ensuring they
didn’t provoke Liberty.
Because if they had, she wouldn’t have even known how she died.
But they had forced her hand.
She had to teach them a lesson, make them face reality.
After tonight, any remaining sibling
The bond between them would be severed because her brothers had wished for her death. If they attempted to harm her again after being released from prison, she wouldn’t merely send them back behind bars. Next time, she would ensure they vanished for good. Kathryn shared the same ruthless blood as Clarissa coursing through her veins.
