Chapter 4208
The butler observed them leave, unfazed, as he had grown accustomed to this routine. Initially, Tatum served solely as Elora’s private chef, but over time, he took on much more responsibility. Now, he practically managed everything—taking the boys to school, picking them up in the afternoons when possible, supervising their homework, playing chess with them, helping them practice piano and calligraphy, and even sparring with them in boxing and martial arts.
The butler often thought of Tatum as a jack-of-all-trades, as there seemed to be nothing he couldn’t handle. It was no surprise that Elora trusted him so implicitly.
However, Tatum was not just anyone. He was a young master from a wealthy family, well-educated and trained in martial arts. He also ran his own business. Even without his title as the sixth young master of the York family in Wiltspoon, he was quite successful, with personal assets exceeding 100 million.
Today, though, Tatum didn’t personally take the boys to school. He walked them outside, but the driver was already there to take them.
“Brother Tatum, when will you take me to kindergarten again?” Angelo asked.
“Last time you did, my classmates saw you and said my brother is really handsome!”
Tatum chuckled and playfully pinched his cheek. “Do you want me to take you to school, or do you just enjoy showing off how good-looking your brother is?”
Angelo grinned. “Both.”
Tatum shook his head, amused. “Not today. Your sister isn’t up yet, and I need to prepare her breakfast.”
Alonzo frowned. “But isn’t it already made?”
“She usually eats around this time, so I made breakfast earlier. But since she’s still asleep, it’s getting cold and won’t taste as good anymore. So I have to make it fresh.” The two brothers gazed at him in awe.
Tatum assisted them into the car and smiled. “Study hard. I’ll”
“I’ll take you to the playground this weekend,” Tatum said.
“Promise?” Alonzo replied skeptically. “You always change your mind if Sister says no.” He extended his pinky.
Alonzo understood that Tatum, as their sister’s personal chef, prioritized her needs. However, it sometimes seemed like Tatum was just as intimidated by Elora as they were. Was there anyone who wasn’t afraid of her?
Tatum chuckled and linked his pinky with Alonzo’s. “I promise.”
He ensured they fastened their seat belts before watching the car drive off until it was out of sight.
As he turned back toward the house, he encountered the butler at the door.
“Uncle Joly, has the eldest lady gotten up yet?” Tatum inquired.
The butler shook his head. “No. She rarely sleeps in. Is she feeling alright?” Genuine concern was evident in his voice.
Elora wasn’t invulnerable; she worked hard every day. Fatigue could weaken her immune system, making her more susceptible to illness.
“She’s fine. Just a little hungover from last night. She’s probably catching up on sleep. I’ll make her breakfast and check on her.”
Uncle Joly nodded approvingly. “Good. If anyone can take care of her properly, it’s you. The young lady is in good hands with you around.”
