Chapter 4230
**Married At First Sight Chapter 4230**
Watching the baby sleep brought a sense of peace to Grandpa Jimenez as well.
“Does he really look like me?” Jasmine asked with a smile. “I can’t quite tell. He’s so tiny, and honestly, I’m a bit scared to hold him—I feel like he might slip right through my arms.”
This was her first time as a mom, and she was completely inexperienced. Unlike Serenity, who had cared for babies before, Jasmine was starting from scratch.
In contrast, Josh had secretly taken parenting classes with Zachary and already knew how to handle a baby better than she did.
“You’ll get used to it,” Elisa comforted her. “I was terrified to hold my nephew at first, too. But now, I’ve got it down.”
Unable to resist, she gently touched the baby’s cheek again; she absolutely adored babies.
“Has he eaten?” she inquired.
“He had a feeding about an hour ago,” Mrs. Sox answered. “He has quite the appetite.”
Everyone felt relieved that he was feeding well.
The doctor had mentioned that mild jaundice might appear in the coming days, which is common in newborns, especially those born prematurely. There was a natural progression—onset, peak, and decline. As long as it wasn’t severe, there was no need for concern.
Jasmine didn’t know much about these things, but Elisa did. After all, she was now an aunt.
She lingered at the hospital until it grew dark, reluctant to leave. When she finally stepped outside with Remy, she suggested, “Let’s cook at your place tonight instead of eating out.”
Since their families lived next door to each other, it was convenient. They could share a meal, take a walk, chat, and head home whenever they wanted—no need to worry about time.
Now that they were engaged, no one would think twice about her spending time at his house. However, Elisa had never stayed overnight at Remy’s place.
She wanted to save that for their wedding night. Remy held that decision in high regard. His love for her ran deep, yet he never overstepped boundaries. No matter how much he adored her, he always awaited her consent. This man genuinely cherished her, and Elisa loved him just as fiercely. Reflecting on her past, she felt grateful for having moved on from her previous infatuation with Zachary. Otherwise, she might have missed out on Remy—the man who was truly meant for her.
“Alright,” Remy agreed, his voice warm and inviting. Nothing brought him more joy than cooking for the woman he loved. Elisa had been pampered since childhood; as the youngest and only daughter in her family, everyone spoiled her. Among her friends, she was the least skilled cook. In contrast, Remy had also grown up in comfort, but his family emphasized discipline and self-sufficiency, similar to the Yorks. He was raised to excel in everything, including cooking.
On the way home, Elisa chatted animatedly about children. Remy listened, smiling and occasionally contributing to the conversation. “Remy, how many kids do you want after we get married?” she asked.
“You decide,” he replied. “But if it were up to me, just one. I can’t bear the thought of you experiencing the pain of pregnancy more than once.”
Elisa’s heart melted. “One would be too lonely. Let’s have two, so they can have a sibling.”
Remy chuckled. “Our child will never be lonely. They’ll have plenty of cousins and friends. My brothers are already expanding their families. Even before our baby is born, they’ll have four cousins—three boys and a girl.”
Coming from a large family himself, most of his cousins felt like actual brothers to him. Their child would grow up enveloped in love.
