Married At First Sight Chapter 4232
Chapter 4232
“Remy, Remy!”
A voice called out from outside, sounding like Audrey.
Remy stepped out of the kitchen, still wearing his apron.
“You’re busy—I’ll check what she wants,” Elisa said, setting down the remote control. “She probably saw the lights on and assumed you were home, so she’s likely calling you over for dinner.”
By now, her family had probably already started their meal.
Elisa grabbed a bag of snacks and walked outside while munching on them. “Mom?”
Audrey called out, “Elisa? You’re home too? Why didn’t you come over for dinner? We’re eating right now. Hurry up and tell Remy to come over—your grandpa Jimenez was just saying he hasn’t seen him in days!”
Remy had been busy entertaining clients lately, leaving him little time to visit his in-laws for dinner.
Elisa smiled. “Mom, I want to enjoy Remy’s cooking tonight, so we’re staying in. You all go ahead without us.”
“Oh, come on, sweetheart! It’s late, and you’re still making him cook? He’s been working all day. He should come home to a hot meal instead of having to prepare one himself!”
Audrey’s tone was motherly and scolding, full of concern for her son-in-law.
Elisa giggled, sticking out her tongue playfully, though her mother couldn’t see her expression.
“Mom, I have good news for you.”
“Oh? Jasmine had her baby, right? Both mother and child are safe—I already heard the news.”
The Sox family may not be wealthy, but Jasmine had married into the influential Bucham family. Josh Bucham and Julian Bucham were cousins, with Josh having worked at York Corporation for years. He was well-known in Wiltspoon’s business circles.
Naturally, news of his wife giving birth spread quickly among the city’s elite. The Buchams had no rivals.
Among the upper class of Wiltspoon, they were merely friends. When news of the baby’s arrival spread, countless well-wishers called to offer congratulations, sending nutritional supplements in bulk. Audrey was well aware of this. She had already prepared an elaborate gift and planned to visit Jasmine in the hospital first thing tomorrow morning. Elisa and Jasmine were close friends, and with Josh connected to Zachary—who was married to Audrey’s niece—the Buchams and the Stones shared a strong bond. Audrey had once thought Julian was serious about pursuing Elisa, which nearly led his father to propose marriage. However, those days were long gone. Elisa beamed with excitement. “Mom, guess what? Remy and I just got back from the hospital. We saw Jasmine, and she’s doing great. The baby is absolutely adorable!”
