Clive emerged from one of the vehicles, striding quickly towards his sister, who was loudly professing her affection for Zachary through a megaphone.

It was clear that Zachary had reached out to Clive once again to express his irritation over Elisa’s antics.

At the time of receiving the complaint, Clive had been engaged in a meeting.

Frustration was an understatement for what Clive was feeling at that moment.

Abandoning his team of executives, he took his bodyguard with him and rushed over to rein in Elisa.

“Zachary…” Before Elisa could finish her thought, the megaphone was abruptly taken from her grasp.

She turned to see her brother’s stern gaze fixed on her.

Stunned, Elisa shrank back and softly exclaimed, “Clive.” Clive threw the megaphone aside and seized Elisa by the wrist, pulling her along with him.

“Clive, I really like Zachary. I’ve had feelings for him for years, and it’s taken me this long to admit it. You have to let me do this. What if he ends up loving me too? Ouch, Clive! You’re holding me too tightly!”

Without a word, Clive continued to pull his sister toward the car and opened the door, forcing her inside.

Elisa attempted to escape from the other side of the vehicle.

“Take one more step.” Suddenly gripped by uncertainty, Elisa hesitated and remained where she was.

Clive climbed into the car, closed the door, and coldly commanded, “Drive.”
The driver immediately accelerated.

“Clive—” Elisa nestled closer to her brother, grasping his arm as she played to his softer side.

“Enough!” Clive retorted.

“I’ve told you countless times that Zachary isn’t the right man for you. You really need to let this go, but you just won’t listen, will you?”

“I tried to move on, but the years haven’t helped me forget him,” Elisa responded. “I can’t give up now. I love him. Is it wrong to express that? How can we ever know what could happen if you don’t let me try to fight for this?”

Elisa, cherished by her family and coming from a lineage of affluence and influence, possessed the confidence to tackle life’s challenges head-on.

She was determined to pursue what others deemed impossible. Despite her compatibility issues with Zachary, Elisa firmly believed she should take her shot.

She was prepared to face the possibility of failure, knowing that giving up without a fight would always linger as a regret.

“You know Zachary well,” Clive argued. “You can hardly get within three meters of him!”

“He hasn’t fallen for me yet, but I believe he’ll make an exception once he sees how much I care,” she replied confidently.

Clive couldn’t help but smirk as he observed his sister, who was relentless in her pursuit.

He felt a mix of anger, helplessness, and pity for her infatuation with Zachary. “Elisa, I know plenty of great guys. Trust me on this one. You need to forget about Zachary. He’s not right for you. The man’s heart is made of iron. No one can soften his cold demeanor. Even if someone could, it won’t be you.”

“Please, don’t turn yourself into a joke. It’s not just you who’ll look foolish; you’re embarrassing me too.”

“What do you mean embarrassing? I’m just being honest about my feelings. You should understand this by now. Didn’t your wife use the same approach?”
