**Gavin’s POV**

I hadn’t left the forest. I needed some time to clear my head. We were close to being caught. My wolf was distracted, and so was I. Neither of us sensed the danger lurking nearby.

I hadn’t heard anyone else coming our way. But when that girl showed up, I thought I was losing my mind.

Judy returned to the forest about 45 minutes later. I stopped when I noticed she was still wearing my shirt. It looked good on her.

“Do you trust me?” I asked, tightening my grip on her hips.

She nodded without hesitation. It made me happy to see that she would.

I turned her around to face me. Her eyes were wide, and she was breathing heavily. I pushed her back against the tree we were standing near and lifted her up. She wrapped her legs around me, holding on tightly.
