**Judy’s POV**

I stood there, shocked, staring at the woman in front of me. I quickly looked at the door number to make sure I was at the right place. Maybe in my rush, I had gone to the wrong door.

I was deep in thought when I accidentally knocked on the right door. But when I looked at the number, my heart sank. It was Gavin’s room. A woman opened the door, dressed in nothing but a robe.

“I see,” I whispered, my voice sounding strange to me. “I’m sorry to bother you,” I said, quickly turning away, tears stinging my eyes.

“Judy?” Daisy called out.

As I was about to leave in a hurry, I paused for a moment, waiting for her to say more.

“Thank you for keeping his bed warm for me,” she said. “But now that we’re together, you’re not needed for that anymore.”

“I hope you understand,” she said.
