Seducing My Ex's Father In Law Chapter 478
Irene lay in the parlor, lost in thought, absentmindedly doom-scrolling through her phone. Her brow furrowed when she stumbled upon a recent article featuring her father and Judy, seemingly out on a date. Irene wasn’t naive; she had long suspected something was happening between them. Still, she wasn’t sure how to feel about it—Judy was her age, and her father was… well, old. At least, he seemed old to her.
And he was her father, after all.
Yet, despite everything, Judy seemed to make him happy. Irene had never seen Gavin Landry so much as crack a smile before, but Judy somehow drew out a playful and attentive side of him. Now, he smiled constantly and paid more attention to his family. It was a strange sight, but one Irene could get used to.
What unsettled her more was the idea that people were following her father and Judy, snapping pictures without their knowledge. It gave off heavy stalker vibes.
Adding to her anxiety was her concern for Matt. She hadn’t spoken to her father, even knowing he had been home last night with Judy. She feared what her father might say if they did talk, and she didn’t want to trigger Matt’s wolf again.

Her little brother hated her, and she had no one to blame but herself.
Curling her knees to her chest, Irene kept scrolling through her phone, desperate for distraction.
She barely heard the knock at the front door or noticed Alex approaching the parlor. She only looked up when she heard something she never expected to hear in the villa—a baby’s cry.
She glanced up from her phone, frowning at the sight of Alex, the butler, standing in the parlor’s archway, holding a car seat.
“Alex…” Irene said, narrowing her eyes. “Did you have a baby and not tell me?”
His deep frown and obvious annoyance would have been amusing if she weren’t so confused.
“Funny,” he muttered as he walked toward her. “No, Miss Irene, I did not have a baby. This baby was left on our doorstep. Care to explain why?”
“That’s a pink blanket—she’s a girl,” Irene said, annoyed that Alex referred to the baby as an “it.”
Alex rolled his eyes, clearly unimpressed.
“Not the point,” he said flatly. “Why is she here?”
Irene crossed her arms over her chest.
“How would I know?”
Pressing his lips into a thin line, Alex lifted something from the carrier—an envelope. When he turned it over to show her, Irene gasped sharply.
“It has your name on it,” Alex said, raising his brows.
“Did you read it?” Irene asked, stepping forward and reaching for the letter.
“Of course not,” he replied.
Her fingers trembled as she opened the envelope and unfolded the paper inside.
Dear Irene,
I know you don’t want to hear from me. I took your advice and left town. Leaving Ethan was the healthiest choice for me. He was a true monster. When he found out about my pregnancy, he tried to force me to abort; he threatened both me and my baby. I had no choice but to run. I have no one to protect me—no family, no friends, and no pack. I am a rogue wolf now, and I fear Ethan will come looking for me. If he finds me, I am certain he will kill me.
I gave birth a few weeks ago, and I fear for my baby’s safety. I’m terrified Ethan will discover her and do whatever it takes to get rid of her. I can’t offer her the life she deserves. I’m not fit to be a mother, and I can’t keep her safe.
But you come from a good family, and you are kind… I knew it from the moment we spoke in that coffee shop. You can protect her better than I ever could. So, I ask you: please give my little girl a good life. Maybe one day, I’ll be able to return to her.
Her name is Emalyn.

Irene stared at the letter, her hands trembling as she read it again and again, her mind reeling.
