Seducing My Ex's Father In Law Chapter 479
“What is it?” Alex finally asked after a long stretch of silence.
“I need to call my father,” Irene said, still in a daze.
She grabbed her phone and quickly swiped through the screen until she found Gavin’s contact. Her breathing was shaky as she pressed the call button, silently hoping her voice wouldn’t betray the frantic storm inside her mind.
Her gaze dropped to the small baby still nestled in the carrier, wrapped tightly in a pink blanket. She was so tiny—it was clear she had been born early.
Irene’s heart ached at the sight. Knowing the baby was Ethan’s made things complicated, but she couldn’t deny that the child was innocent—and heartbreakingly adorable.

“This isn’t a good time, Irene,” Gavin’s voice cut sharply through her swirling thoughts.
She winced at the harshness of his tone, realizing she had to be quick before he hung up.
“Dad, it’s an emergency,” she blurted out in a rush. “Ethan’s baby is here, and I don’t know what to do.”
Tears sprang from her eyes before she could stop them.
She felt Alex stiffen beside her, silently listening to the conversation.
“What are you talking about?” Gavin asked, his voice still stern but slightly less sharp.
“I mean, there’s a baby here in the villa—right now—with a note from Ethan’s mistress. She says she can’t give the baby a good life and she’s terrified Ethan will find out. She wants me to raise her… Dad, I’m so confused. I don’t know what to do. There’s literally a baby in the parlor right now.”
Her voice cracked on the last sentence, her whole body trembling as she fought back the sobs threatening to break free.
There was a long pause on the other end as Gavin processed her words.
“I’m on my way.”
The line went dead.
Irene let out a broken sob as she sank onto the couch.
“Is this really Ethan Cash’s baby?” Alex asked, watching her warily as she wept.
She nodded, wiping her flushed cheeks with the back of her hand.
Alex shifted uncomfortably, feeling the heavy tension between them.
“Well, this was left next to the carrier,” he said, lifting a backpack into view. “It’s packed with diapers, wipes, formula, a bottle, and extra clothes.”
Irene barely registered his words. She sat frozen on the couch, her eyes glued to the tiny infant. Alex set the bag down carefully and cleared his throat.
“I’ll leave you alone,” he said, heading for the door. “I’ll keep a lookout for the Alpha.”
Irene nodded wordlessly, tears still slipping down her cheeks. Once she was alone, she finally allowed herself to break down. She sobbed quietly into her hands, her whole body shaking.
But after a few minutes, when the worst of it had passed, she wiped her face and forced herself to focus on the baby, who was beginning to fuss. Irene’s heart raced as she blinked back the last of her tears and gently scooped the small bundle into her arms.
“Hey…” she whispered. “It’s okay… don’t cry.”
She rocked the baby gently, surprised when the tiny girl began to settle almost immediately.
“That’s it, baby girl,” Irene murmured, her heart softening.
At that moment, she heard someone entering the parlor. She looked up and saw her father standing there, stunned. Beside him was Judy, whose expression was equally—if not more—shocked.
“Is that a baby?” Judy gasped, her wide eyes locked onto the bundle in Irene’s arms.
Irene bit her lower lip.
“Yes,” she said. “This is Emalyn.”
“Emalyn?” Gavin repeated. “She has a name?”
“According to this letter, yes,” Irene replied, holding the letter out to him.
Gavin took it and read it with a deep frown. When he finished, he let out a heavy sigh.
“So, it’s true…” he murmured. “She expects you to raise this baby?”
“It seems so,” Irene said, gently rocking Emalyn again.
“Whose baby is that?” Judy asked, her voice loud with confusion as she glanced between the baby, Irene, and Gavin.
After a brief silence, Gavin turned to her, his expression softening, his voice quieter.
“It’s Ethan’s.”
