Seducing My Ex's Father In Law Chapter 481
I was so focused on feeding her that I didn’t notice Gavin leaning against the doorframe, quietly watching me. There was a look in his eyes I didn’t recognize — something almost thoughtful. When our eyes met, it seemed to snap him back to the present.
“We’re going to use the mansion to hide the baby,” he said. “I think it’s best if Irene moves into the villa with Emalyn. Taylor is on his way to take them there now. We’ll also have extra security around the mansion to keep them both safe. Plus, getting Irene out of the villa will help keep Matt’s wolf calm, so it works out for the best.”
“What about Sammy?” I asked. “I thought I couldn’t go back to the mansion because we don’t know what she’s up to or who she’s working for.”
He nodded.
“Sammy will be relocated. She’s coming here so I can keep a closer eye on her and figure out her true intentions. I can’t let her roam the pack freely if she’s a spy, no matter who she’s working for. Keeping her at the northern mansion isn’t enough. She needs to be within arm’s reach.”

I nodded, a heavy, unsettled feeling gathering in the pit of my stomach.
“And what about me?” I asked, voicing the question that weighed heavily on my mind.
A troubled look crossed Gavin’s face, making my heart sink. For a moment, he avoided my gaze, staring at anything but me.
“You’ll move back in with your parents for now,” he said quietly. “You’ll be safe there.”
My heart cracked a little; he wanted me to leave.
“Is that what you want?” I asked, my voice softer than I intended.
He hesitated but then nodded.
“Yes,” he said after a beat of silence. “Until everything is sorted… it’s best if you don’t come back here.”
Third Person POV
Nan and Chester were in the middle of an argument in the kitchen at the mansion. Nan had her arms wrapped tightly around herself, as if trying to hold herself together, desperate not to cry in front of him.
She had caught him flirting with one of the kitchen maids.
“Nothing happened, Nan,” Chester said, his voice thick with pain. His chest ached seeing his mate so hurt, and his wolf was furious with him for causing it. “I wouldn’t do that to you. I was just joking with her — it was in passing. You just walked in at the wrong moment.”
“I walked in at the right moment,” Nan snapped back. “I saw it clearly. She touched her chest and told you that you were looking extra fit today. You flexed your arms and said her petite frame could never handle you,” she recalled, tears brimming in her eyes. “Then she said she’d like to test that theory, and you just laughed, Chester. You didn’t stop her… you didn’t even say no.”
“You didn’t give me a chance — that’s when you walked in,” Chester told her. “Baby, I would never cheat on you. You’re my mate.”
Nan opened her mouth to respond, but at that moment, Sammy walked in, a suitcase in her hand.
Nan frowned.
“Going somewhere?” she asked.
“Yeah, I’m moving into the Landry Villa. I’m not entirely sure why yet, but I’m sure they’ll explain once I get there. Gavin mentioned something about Irene moving in,” Sammy said with a shrug.
Nan raised her brows, making a mental note to ask Judy about it later, but right now, she needed to finish sorting things out with Chester.
Sammy moved in to hug Nan.
“I’ll see you later,” she said before grabbing her bags and disappearing from the kitchen, leaving Nan and Chester standing alone in a heavy, awkward silence.
Chester wasn’t sure what to say to fix it, but he knew he had to reassure her. What happened with the maid was meaningless — just words — and he had been about to shut it down when Nan walked in.
The maid had bolted the second Nan stormed in, leaving Chester speechless. Deep down, his wolf was pleased by Nan’s protectiveness, but Chester still felt like absolute crap for making his mate feel this way.
He opened his mouth to say something — anything — but a phone ringing interrupted the moment.
Nan frowned, her gaze landing on a phone sitting on the counter, her brows furrowing.
“Is that your phone?” she asked.
Chester shook his head.
“No, it must be Sammy’s.”
Nan reached for the phone, about to rush it out to Sammy, but something on the screen made her freeze in place. Chester watched her warily.
“What is it?” he asked.
Slowly, Nan lifted her head and turned the phone around so Chester could see.
“It’s Alpha Lycan Levi…” she said, her brows drawn together tightly as she showed him the screen, where a picture of Alpha Levi was displayed. “Her contact name for him is… Dad.”
