Seducing My Ex's Father In Law Chapter 484
Judy’s POV
“Miss Judy, I was told to bring you home,” Taylor said from the doorway, shifting uncomfortably and avoiding my gaze as he looked around the room. My jaw dropped as I stared at him. So Gavin didn’t trust me to get home on my own? He actually sent Beta Taylor to escort me? The nerve of that man. I was half-tempted to tell him off.
“There’s no need. I have my car,” I said, crossing my arms defiantly.
Taylor shifted on his feet, eyes glued to the floor like he thought I might kill him with a glance.
“Yes, your car will be delivered to you by the end of the evening,” he said after clearing his throat.

My eyes widened.
“You can’t be serious,” I snapped, staring at him in disbelief. I looked at Irene, who looked just as shocked.
“Taylor, just let her drive herself when she’s ready. What’s the big rush?” Irene argued. She was holding the baby while Nan cooed over it. Cheser sat nearby, visibly awkward, cheeks flushed as he watched his mate fuss over the baby. I’d just been teasing him when Taylor interrupted. I just wanted to enjoy some time with my friends—was that really such a crime?
“I’m sorry, Miss Irene, but your father gave me direct orders,” Taylor replied.
Irene rolled her eyes.
“Oh, come on, Taylor. He’s your best friend. What’s he going to do? Fire you? Banish you?” she said. She had a point—Taylor and Gavin had been friends since childhood. If anyone could bend the rules, it was Beta Taylor.
“I’m a professional. I know when I can push his buttons and when I can’t. I have a job to do… and my Alpha told me to take Judy home, so that’s what I’ll do,” Taylor said, his usual playful tone replaced by a firm, unyielding resolve.
Even Irene seemed caught off guard, falling silent.
I wasn’t in the mood to argue, so I sighed and grabbed my bag from the coffee table.
“Fine,” I muttered. “I’ll go.”
Irene gave me a hug and whispered in my ear, “Sorry. I’ll give him hell for this.”
I smiled at her, knowing she’d keep her word, then turned to Nan and hugged her.
“Thanks for telling me everything,” I said softly. “I’ll see you tomorrow.”
She nodded as I pulled away. I fist-bumped Cheser and pointed at him. “Behave.”
He held up his hands in mock defense.
Nan had already told me about their little argument earlier—she’d caught him flirting with a maid. I wasn’t about to let that slide, but now wasn’t the time to bring it up.
I turned to Taylor.
“Lead the way, warden,” I said sarcastically.
He rolled his eyes, but I caught the hint of a smirk as he turned and headed for the door. When we reached the car and I slid into the backseat, I felt like a scolded child. I couldn’t understand why Gavin was so determined to keep me away from the mansion. It wasn’t like he was trying to push me out of his life—but it sure felt that way, and that hurt more than anything.
My stomach twisted into a knot as I thought of Sammy. What was going to happen to her?
“Did Gavin say anything about Sammy?” I asked. “Or was he too focused on making sure I left his mansion?”
Taylor glanced at me through the rearview mirror.
“He texted a few minutes ago. I’ve got a lot of work ahead tonight. He can’t accuse Sammy of being a traitor based solely on your best friend and her mate’s claims. He needs real proof. Since she’s of Lycan blood, he can’t use a mind command. Her phone was wiped clean—seems she knew someone was onto her and cleared everything. I’ve done what I can to dig up evidence.”
I sat in silence, processing what he’d said.
“You should check with Ethan,” I murmured. “He probably has tons of evidence—and he’s not smart enough to erase it.”
“That’s my next stop after I drop you off.”
I smirked, keeping my eyes on the mirror where I could see his face.
“I could help, if you want,” I offered. “Maybe I can steal his phone or something.”
“Thanks for the offer, but it’s alright. I’ve got it covered,” Taylor said, his own smirk spreading across his face.
