Seducing My Ex's Father In Law Chapter 485
“It was worth a shot,” I sighed.
Taylor’s shoulders shook with suppressed laughter.
He pulled into the driveway and shifted the car into park before turning to face me.
“I know it’s hard to see, but the Alpha truly does care about you, Miss Judy,” he said gently, his eyes softening. “He’s never been great at expressing his feelings… but he does the best he can. Cut him some slack.”
My heart felt heavy as I considered his words. I found myself nodding slowly, chewing on my lower lip.

“When can I expect my car?” I asked, eager to change the subject.
“Give me a few hours,” he replied. “I’ll have it sent over soon.”
I nodded and got out of the car, slamming the door behind me. Taylor didn’t leave until I was safely inside, which struck me as more cautious than usual. I couldn’t help but wonder if Gavin had instructed him not to leave until I was in the house.
I didn’t fully understand what was going on, but I pushed it aside so I could enjoy a normal family dinner with my parents.
I told my mom what had happened with Sammy at the mansion, and to say she was shocked would be an understatement. My father agreed that it was best for me to stay away from them for a while. He didn’t want any more trouble for the Montague family—and from the looks of things, trouble was exactly what was coming.
A couple of hours later, Gamma Eric showed up with my car, and another Gamma arrived shortly after to pick him up. True to her motherly instincts, my mom kept offering him food while he waited, but he politely declined, saying he planned to grab something to eat later that evening.
“A date?” I asked once my mother finally went back inside.
We were sitting on the porch; after being my main driver over the past year, Eric and I had developed a bit of a friendship.
He grinned.
“Maybe,” he said. “Guess we’ll see how it goes.”
His ride pulled up, and he nudged my shoulder.
“See you later,” he said before running to the car. I shook my head and laughed.
It was getting late, and I knew my parents were starting to wind down for the night. Still, my mind kept drifting back to Sammy and all the lies she’d told me. My chest felt tight with conflict at the thought of her betrayal. I hated the feeling… but I couldn’t shake the need to talk to her.
I knew I probably shouldn’t go against Gavin’s wishes, but I had to know for sure what Sammy was thinking—what was really going on with her. So instead of heading inside, I got into my car and drove straight to Gavin’s villa. I parked in a hidden spot so he wouldn’t see my car. I doubted he was home, but I knew the staff would report back to him.
I got out and made my way inside, only to be stopped by the butler, Alex.
“You’re not supposed to be here,” Alex said, folding his arms. “I thought you moved back home.”
“I did, but I forgot a few things,” I lied.
He rolled his eyes.
“You could’ve called. I would’ve had someone bring them to you,” he replied.
I shrugged.
“It’s no big deal,” I said. “I didn’t want to make a fuss. I’ll just grab them myself—they’re upstairs.”
Thankfully, he didn’t press the issue.
He let me head upstairs, and I made a show of walking toward Gavin’s room—the one I’d been staying in for the past few weeks—but once I was out of sight, I veered toward the guest wing. I picked up Sammy’s scent almost immediately. I’d always been good with scent, so it didn’t take long to locate her room.
I knocked, grateful there weren’t any guards stationed outside. When she opened the door, I was even more relieved it wasn’t locked—but then I spotted the ankle monitor on her leg, and my brow furrowed.
“What is that?” I asked, stepping into the room.
“I’m not allowed to leave. If I do, Alpha Gavin gets alerted. He also took my phone,” she murmured, shutting the door behind me.
She looked exhausted and defeated. Despite everything, I couldn’t help but feel bad for her. There had to be a real explanation behind all this. I couldn’t believe she’d been lying from the very start.
Then Sammy asked, “What are you even doing here?”
