Seducing My Ex's Father In Law Chapter 486
Judy’s POV
What are you even doing here?
It was a loaded question—one with many answers. I came seeking the truth. I came to find out if my friend had betrayed me. I needed to know if she was a spy, and if so, who she was working for. I came to see if she had slept with my ex-mate. I needed to know if I had been foolish to trust her.
The way she watched me, wary and tense, told me she already knew why I was here. She wrapped her arms tightly around herself, as if trying to keep from falling apart. We stood in silence for what felt like forever. I had so many questions on the tip of my tongue, but I didn’t even know where to start.
“Is it true?” I finally asked, locking eyes with her. “Are you working with Ethan to hurt me and my family?” That was the question I needed answered. Was she really helping my ex-mate—knowing everything he’d done to me? Was she out to destroy me and my family, just like Ethan? The thought made my stomach churn. I dropped my gaze before she could see how close I was to breaking. I was never good at hiding my emotions, and I knew she’d notice the hurt on my face right away.

Her expression flickered with guilt as she stared at the floor, shifting uncomfortably.
“It’s more complicated than that,” she murmured, barely audible.
“Complicated how?” I pressed, taking a step closer. “Tell me the truth, Sammy.”
“You shouldn’t be here,” she said after a long pause. “If Alpha Landry finds out—”
“Then I’d be the one in trouble, not you,” I cut in. “You can’t control who walks through that door, especially when you can’t even leave.” I pointed at the ankle monitor. “You’re a prisoner, Sammy. Just tell me why.”
I was desperate for answers. If she didn’t start talking soon, I was going to lose it. She bit her lower lip, eyes brimming with tears. I couldn’t tell if her tears were real or fake… and that scared me. I didn’t trust her anymore—not even a little.
“I never meant to hurt you…” she whispered.
“Then what did you mean to do?” I asked, trying to meet her gaze, but she kept avoiding my eyes. “Sammy, please. Just answer me. Why were you working with him?”
“My name is Sammy Churchill. The youngest daughter of Levi Churchill…” she whispered, her face flushing red. “I’m Alpha Levi’s daughter.”
“Did he send you here?” I asked.
She didn’t answer at first. Then she gave a slow, reluctant nod.
“Why?” I demanded, my voice firm as I studied her face, searching for any hint of truth.
She took a deep breath and slowly let it out.
“Because he wants you to be part of the Elite Force,” she said. “I don’t know why, but he asked me to try and convince you to go to him.”
I raised my eyebrows.
“What?” I asked, unsure if I’d heard her right.
“He wants me to convince you to join his Elite Gamma Force. He thinks you’d be a great addition. He wants to take you away from Gavin,” she explained. Her eyes finally met mine, and I saw the tears she was holding back.
“That doesn’t make sense,” I said, shaking my head. “There has to be more to it. Why go through all of this?”
“He thought if I got close to you, I could convince you,” she said quietly. “We’re close in age, and I’m easy to get along with. He wanted me to befriend you and change your mind about joining Gavin’s force.”
Her words made my chest tighten.
“Why were you snooping through my things?” I asked. My mind was still spinning from everything she’d just told me.
“I was trying to find something that might help convince you,” she admitted. “I know you received packets from the other Elite forces, and I was going to throw them out… and just leave you my father’s.” Her cheeks flushed a deep red.
She groaned and buried her face in her hands.
“Ugh, Judy, I’m so sorry. I didn’t want to do it…”
“So our friendship was a lie?” I asked, unable to hide the pain in my voice.
She looked up at me, a look of shock spreading across her face.
