Seducing My Ex's Father In Law Chapter 493
Gavin’s POV
It was as if her scent had completely vanished from pack territory. We tracked her as far as the forest line, but then it disappeared without a trace. I thought I caught a faint hint of Ethan too, which didn’t surprise me. If they were working together, it meant Sammy couldn’t be trusted—and I’d have to remove them both from my pack.
I couldn’t exactly kill Sammy; she was the daughter of a powerful Lycan. Doing so would spark a war we weren’t ready for. Too many lives were at risk to take that chance. Ethan, on the other hand—I still didn’t fully understand his angle. I’d like nothing more than to kill him, but if my suspicions were correct and he was switching his allegiance to Levi Churchill, then killing him could ignite another war.
I prowled the edge of the forest where we lost Sammy’s scent. Staying in my human form, I sniffed the air, hoping to catch even the faintest trace of her. Instead, a different agrokhabar net scent drifted toward me—calm, floral, and enough to make my wolf stir with interest.
I turned just in time to see Judy’s small wolf emerge from the forest clearing. My brows furrowed at her hurried pace. Pain was written in her eyes, and her aura had darkened drastically since I last saw her in wolf form. It was clear something had deeply wounded her, and instinctively, I felt the urge to protect her.

My wolf surged forward, desperate to shift and go to her. I held him back, confused by the sudden intensity of his reaction to her pain.
Without thinking, I ran toward her. My wolf begged to be released, but I remained in human form. Her eyes locked on mine, and I could swear I saw relief flash through them as she rushed straight at me, picking up speed.
I dropped to my knees, opening my arms. She didn’t hesitate—her wolf form collided into me, and I wrapped my arms around her. She was so small, yet I knew exactly how powerful she could be. Runt or not, she was fast and strong.
I ran my fingers through her fur, trying to calm her trembling agrokhabar netframe. “Shift,” I whispered. “Please, shift…”
Her wolf whimpered softly, still shaking. I pulled her tighter, urging her to shift back. Just as she began to change, her body went completely limp.
My heart froze—she had fully shifted into her human form, unconscious in my arms.
“Shit,” I muttered, cradling her.
I quickly checked her pulse—still there, though faint—and her breathing was shallow.
“Alpha?” I heard Derek’s voice approaching fast.
I whipped my head around, eyes blazing—
and snarled.
My wolf’s protective instincts flared, setting us both on edge. He and I were in full agreement—we didn’t want anyone seeing Judy like this… not while she was completely exposed. Derek must’ve noticed the glow in my eyes, sparked by my wolf, because his pace slowed and his eyes widened in alarm.
“Get a blanket from the car,” I commanded, my Alpha aura heavy in the air.
Derek nodded instantly and turned, sprinting toward the vehicle. I held Judy tighter, pressing my face into her neck, inhaling her sweet scent in an attempt to calm both myself and my wolf. She looked peaceful, but a faint crease between her brows betrayed some lingering distress. I gently smoothed it with my thumb, trying to soothe her.
Whatever had happened out there had clearly shaken her and her wolf to the core—and I wouldn’t rest until I found out what it was.
Derek returned moments later with a blanket. I snatched it from him, growling a warning to keep his eyes away. I didn’t need to speak—he understood immediately and turned his back.
I wrapped Judy in the blanket and rose to my feet, still holding her close against my chest.
“Join Beta Taylor and the others. Search the forest,” I ordered. “I’m taking her back to the villa.”
“Yes, Alpha,” Derek said, then hurried off toward the tree line.
I made my way to one of the waiting cars. Leroy, my driver, quickly stepped out and opened the rear door. I gave him a nod as I slid into the seat with Judy still in my arms.
“Take us to the villa,” I said, my voice thick with concern.
“Yes, Alpha,” he replied, closing the door before circling around to the driver’s seat.
Once we arrived, I carried Judy straight to my bedroom and laid her gently on the bed. I sat beside her, fingers threading through her hair. Her skin was pale, and the sight twisted something in my chest. I couldn’t stop worrying about what she had endured and what could’ve caused her to collapse like that.
