Charlie deduced that the person investigating Wu Qi must be connected to one of these two families. Curious, he asked Qin Aoxue, “Who is looking into Wu Qi? Have you seen them?”

“I have,” Qin Aoxue replied. “There are two people, one old and one young.”

Charlie pressed on, “Do you know where they are now?”

“I saw them in the small square outside the teaching building just now, but I’m not sure where they went after that,” she said.

Thinking quickly, Charlie realized the teaching building was nearby. He walked over to the window and looked outside. Sure enough, he spotted two people—one old and one young—walking out of the small square.

The old man had a distinctive aura about him, reminiscent of the vibe he felt from Lai Qinghua, but this man seemed even more imposing. Charlie continued to observe them, intrigued by their presence.

Mike felt a strong sense of curiosity ever since he learned about the Nine Profound Sky Sutras. He quickly realized that the old man he saw could be a Feng Shui master like Lai Qinghua or a metaphysics expert like Yu Jinghai from Hong Kong.

He took out his phone and called Chen Zekai. “Old Chen,” he said, “I spotted two people at Jinling College of Finance and Economics—one old and one young. They seem to be looking into Wu Qi. Can you arrange for someone to keep an eye on them? Make sure it’s someone strong who can watch from a distance. We don’t want to alert them, so report any updates back to me right away.”

Chen Zekai responded quickly, “Got it, young master. I’ll send a few men who have experience as scouts in the special forces.”

Meanwhile, in the small square in front of the teaching building, Mike was asking some students about Wu Qi. He leaned closer to his grandfather, Mai Chengxing, and whispered, “Grandpa, if I keep asking about Wu Qi so openly, won’t we attract attention? What if that powerful person has spies in the university?”

Mike hesitated and asked, “But Grandpa, what if this person sees us as a threat?”

“We are certain that they won’t be harmful to us just because we came to look into Wu Qi.”
