Charlie Wade felt a hint of surprise, but he quickly hid it and looked away. Meanwhile, Mai Chengxing and Mike were unaware that the person they were searching for was sitting just behind them. They had arrived a bit early, and the food was already served. They had been eating for a while when Mike asked, “Grandpa, how long are you planning to stay in China this time?”

Mai Chengxing shook his head. “Let’s just take it one step at a time. I have a feeling that coming to Jinling will bring an opportunity, so I won’t leave until I find it.”

Mike nodded, wanting to say something but held back when he noticed the surroundings. Just then, Mai Chengxing’s phone rang. He looked at the screen, saw it was Su Chengfeng calling, and answered.

“Uncle Mai, have you found out who the dragon is?” Su Chengfeng asked.

“We just got to Jinling a few hours ago. It’s too soon for that,” Mai Chengxing replied with a sigh.

“Once you find him, can you be sure to take him out?” Su Chengfeng pressed.

Mai Chengxing’s expression changed, and he replied firmly, “I only agreed to look into it for you. I won’t do anything beyond that.”

Su Chengfeng sounded anxious. “What’s the point of just investigating? Finding out doesn’t solve anything. I had a nightmare last night and lost all my coins. Everything felt upside-down. I’m so stressed that I can’t sleep peacefully unless I deal with this concern!”

Mai Chengxing replied coldly, “Chengfeng, I only do three things in my life…”

Life has three important parts: watching, counting, and correcting. When you observe and calculate, you can spot a problem. And when you make a change, that’s when you truly use me. Do your best to fix the issues I’ve identified. But that doesn’t include what you just suggested! If you’re looking for someone to help with that kind of behavior, you should find someone wiser!

On the other end of the phone, Su Chengfeng fell silent. After a moment, he spoke in a cold tone. “If that’s how it is, then Uncle Lau Mai will help me find out who the dragon was born, and he’ll tell me the other person’s name. You don’t need to worry about it.”

Mai Chengxing felt a surge of anger but quickly pushed it down. He replied calmly, “Alright, if there’s nothing else, I’ll hang up now.”

Su Chengfeng responded coldly, “Please do, Uncle Mai.”

After hanging up, Mike asked anxiously, “Grandpa, what happened?”

Mai Chengxing sighed and said, “It’s not the right time to talk about it. I’ll explain later when we’re out.”

Mike nodded, deciding not to press further, and returned to his meal.

Nearby, Charlie Wade listened closely and had already heard the conversation between Mai Chengxing and Su Chengfeng. When he heard Mai Chengxing call the other party Chengfeng, he realized that Su Chengfeng was on the phone. This meant that the two grandparents had been sent by Su Chengfeng to find him!
