Chapter: 2648
Charlie Wade nodded and said, “Okay, please arrange for a parachuting instructor to join me on the plane. I need to know how to open the parachute and control my direction while I’m in the air!”
After more than four hours of flying, Charlie Wade’s Concorde finally landed at Beirut Airport in Lebanon. It was afternoon, and the temperature was around 30 degrees Celsius. The sky was a bit hazy, and the air felt humid, as if a heavy rain was waiting to fall.
Once the plane landed, it taxied directly to a large hangar. Inside, a transport plane with four propeller engines was parked, and a group of crew members surrounded it, conducting a detailed inspection.
After the plane stopped, the boarding ladder was brought up, and the crew opened the door. Charlie Wade stepped out of the cabin with Chen Zekai.
At the bottom of the ladder stood a middle-aged man with a Chinese face, who appeared respectful. As Charlie Wade and Chen Zekai descended, the man quickly stepped forward, bowed, and said, “Hello, master, welcome to Beirut.”

Charlie Wade looked closely at the man, noticing he was in his thirties, much like Chen Zekai. His Mandarin was very clear, suggesting he hadn’t lived abroad for long. Charlie Wade then asked, “Are you from the Ye family?”
The man replied quickly, “Yes, young master. I am Han Guangyao, the spokesperson for the Ye family in the Middle East. I flew over from Saudi Arabia specifically to help you with any connections you might need.”
Charlie Wade nodded and asked, “What’s the situation in Syria?”
Guangyao explained, “The Syrian opposition is at a standstill with the U.S. Embassy. This time, the Embassy is very firm and doesn’t seem willing to compromise. I think they will lose their patience soon.”
Charlie Wade then asked, “Is the U.S. Embassy completely unprepared to get involved, or do they have secret plans?”
Han Guangyao replied with a sigh, “Right now, it seems they are not ready to intervene at all. They’ve worked hard over the past few years to gain something in Syria, and now that they have pulled out, they don’t want to get involved anymore.”
He continued, “Also, the kidnapped young Americans aren’t the children of politicians or wealthy people. They don’t have any connections, which makes the situation less urgent for the Americans. They seem to be focusing on smaller issues, so they’ve started to limit information in the country. They are even telling major European media not to report on this.
This way, if something terrible happens to these eight people, American citizens might not even hear about it.”
Han Guangyao added, “The situation in Syria is very chaotic. It’s not just the government forces and the opposition fighting; the Kurdish forces are involved too.”
He explained, “The background is even more complicated. The U.S., Russia, Iran, and Turkey are all playing roles behind the scenes, which fuels constant conflict in Syria. Any fight can become deadly. The U.S. Embassy has long warned American citizens to avoid Syria, so these eight young people knew they were taking a risk. If something happens, the U.S. likely won’t step in to help them.”
Charlie Wade nodded thoughtfully and asked, “Has the skydiving…”
“Is the coach here?”
“Yes, right here,” Han Guangyao replied. “The instructor is busy adjusting the umbrella bag and equipment on the plane. I’ll take you up to meet him. Just so you know, our plane will take off in ten minutes!”
