Chapter: 2687
Charlie Wade clenched his fists and said, “Thank you, brother.”
A heavy civilian helicopter landed slowly on the mountain. Before it was fully on the ground, Han Guangyao and Chen Zekai jumped out and rushed over, asking, “Master, is everything okay?”
Charlie smiled and replied, “Does it look like something is wrong?” He then pointed to Hamid and introduced him. “This is Commander Hamid, the leader of the opposition army. He studied in China and speaks Chinese very well.”
The two men looked surprised and quickly said in unison, “Hello, Commander Hamid!”
Hamid greeted them politely.
Charlie checked the time and said, “Brother, it’s getting late. I need to fly back to China, so I can’t stay longer. We’ll talk next time!”
Hamid nodded and replied, “Thank you, brother. Let’s exchange contact information. I’ll give you my satellite phone number, so you can reach me anytime.”
“Sounds good,” Charlie agreed. “Let’s swap numbers. If you need anything, just call.”
After they exchanged contact information, Charlie turned to He Zhiqiu and said, “Alright, Miss He, let’s go.”
He Zhiqiu nodded, looking a bit shy.
Charlie said goodbye to Hamid again, clasping his fists and saying, “Brother, see you later!”
Hamid replied sincerely, “See you later!”
Charlie then took He Zhiqiu to the helicopter that Han Guangyao had arranged. Hamid didn’t want to leave just yet…
In a hurry, Charlie Wade watched his helicopter take off until it disappeared from view. He sighed and climbed onto his plane.
Meanwhile, on the helicopter heading back to Lebanon, Han Guangyao, Chen Zekai, and Vasily stared at Charlie with disbelief. Han Guangyao had thought that if Charlie entered Hamid’s territory alone, there was a 90% chance he would be captured, and the Ye Family would have to pay a ransom to get him back. Mr. Ye was even prepared to spend a lot of money to rescue him, with tens of millions of dollars ready to go as soon as Hamid made a demand.
But to Han Guangyao’s surprise, Charlie not only rescued the hostage but also had Hamid himself escort him to the meeting place. What amazed him even more was the respect that Hamid showed to Charlie, almost like a brother.
Just as Han Guangyao was trying to process this shock, Charlie asked, “Old Han, is the Concorde plane ready?”
Snapping back to reality, Han Guangyao quickly replied, “Yes, Master. It’s ready to go and can take off at any time.”
Charlie nodded, pleased, and instructed, “Let’s head to the airport, transfer to the Concorde, and return home right after we arrive!”
