Chapter: 2691
“This…isn’t this a foolish dream?”
Hamid thought to himself. Even though he didn’t read many books, he had enough common sense to know that carrying guns and fighting every day was dangerous. In Syria, where there was a shortage of medicine, it was hard to imagine getting proper treatment even in the world’s most developed countries.
Yet, standing before him was his commander, who used to be lame but was now moving with incredible energy.
Hamid noticed the reactions of those around him. He felt a rush of excitement that made him want to shout, but to maintain his image and keep control over his team, he held back and walked confidently into the cellar.
Once inside, he spoke directly to Faisal. “I’ve sent Mr. Ye and Miss He away. Mr. Ye told me about your situation. Don’t worry, I promise you with my life that as long as you open the door, I won’t cause you any trouble. You can return to your armored brigade, and the same goes for everyone else!”
Faisal responded without hesitation, “I don’t care about my life. The most important thing is to ensure Mr. Ye leaves safely! If not, I will fight you until the end!”
Hamid was secretly surprised. He thought, “Brother Ye’s ability to inspire loyalty is incredible! Faisal cares more about him than his own life. If I had that kind of power, I could easily unite the entire opposition camp…”
After a brief moment of reflection, Hamid continued, “Faisal, do you still doubt that I would go against Brother Ye? Think about it, how could I possibly be his enemy? He is my benefactor; he healed my leg!”
Faisal asked:
“You said Mr. Ye cured your leg?!” Faisal exclaimed.
Hamid replied quickly, “Can I lie to you? If you don’t believe me, just open the door and see for yourself. Don’t worry, I’m the only one in the whole corridor.”
After a moment, Faisal opened the iron door a crack. He peeked through and saw that Hamid was alone and unarmed.
Relieved, Faisal asked, “Is what you said true?”
Hamid raised his hands and walked slowly down the corridor. “Look for yourself—are my legs completely healed?”
Faisal’s eyes widened in shock. The thought of Mr. Ye’s power filled him with awe. “In this world, I think only Mr. Ye could do something like this!” he exclaimed.
Hamid nodded. “So you believe me now?”
“I believe you,” Faisal said.
He opened the door wider and said, “Commander Hamid, I hope you will keep your promise.”
Hamid replied seriously, “Don’t worry, I will do what I said!”
Then he stepped into the cellar, pointed to the iron door of the room inside, and said, “Faisal, I know you are loyal to Brother Ye, but you won’t be coming back or getting any orders. For now, I hope you can still do your original job.”
Faisal nodded eagerly. “No problem, Commander Hamid!”
“Great,” Hamid said, pointing to the door. “Open the door inside.”
Without hesitation, Faisal opened the iron door.
Hamid walked in, and the seven young men inside immediately looked terrified and started begging.
Hamid glanced at them and sneered. “First of all, congratulations! I promised Brother Ye that I wouldn’t take your lives. Your lives are safe…”
“Saved!”
When the seven heard this, they were overwhelmed with joy and began to cry. The young Indian man asked, “Commander, when can we go back?”
“Go back?” Hamid waved his hand dismissively. “No, no, no. You seven will be slaves here. You will work here for the rest of your lives. If you die, you will be buried here. There is no chance of leaving!”
