Chapter: 2698
As Su Shoudao thought he could handle the problems in the Su Family on his own, he didn’t realize he was already trapped in a big web. Charlie Wade had a plan that involved two options. If the person next door was Su Shoudao, Charlie had a special surprise ready for him. But if it was someone else from the Su family, he planned to send them to Hong Wu’s kennel to keep Su Shoude company.
Chen Zekai was busy checking the reservations at the hotel. He looked at the rooms that were booked around the same time and narrowed it down. It turned out that besides the person with Charlie, four other members of the Su family were staying at Buckingham Palace. Two of them were in rooms directly opposite Charlie, and the other two were next to him.
Many of Chen Zekai’s team members were already hiding in nearby rooms. As soon as Charlie gave the signal, they would move to take control of these four family members. Chen Zekai also arranged to cut off all network signals in the area. When Charlie was ready, they would ensure that the room next to him and the surrounding rooms lost all forms of communication.
They planned to block mobile signals, cut off Wi-Fi, and even disconnect the traditional network cables. This way, no one in those rooms would be able to call for help or communicate with the outside world.
To prepare for his meeting with a “Master” from the Su family, Charlie Wade got dressed and stepped out of his room.
A waiter, arranged by Chen Zekai, approached Charlie Wade and handed him a room card. This card was special; it was a universal card for the entire Buckingham Palace Hotel. Today, most hotels use electronic room cards to make things easier. You need an authorized card from the front desk to open your room’s door. Usually, the card works for the duration of your stay and becomes invalid afterward. This system helps manage access and keeps others from using your card.
The hotel controls the locks through a management system. While you can’t directly open or close a door, the card can be programmed with the highest level of authority, allowing it to open any door in the hotel. There are some exceptions, though. If a guest activates the anti-theft lock in their room, the door won’t open, even with a card swipe. Many guests don’t feel the need to use this lock, so it’s often left unused.
Su Shoudao had used the lock the previous night, but after his subordinates came in to report, he forgot to lock it again. He hurried to the bathroom to wash up, not realizing he had been exposed. So when Charlie Wade received the room card and swiped it against Su Shoudao’s door, it unlocked without any issue.
At that moment, Su Shoudao was busy straightening his clothes and fixing his appearance in the cloakroom. He had no idea that Charlie Wade had entered the room. Meanwhile, Charlie Wade was using his heightened senses to understand the layout of the room and pinpoint Su Shoudao’s location, which was in the upper right area where the bathroom and cloakroom were situated.
Charlie Wade entered from the upper left and headed straight to the living room in the lower left, where he took a seat. Across from him was the bedroom door of the luxurious suite. Su Shoudao was getting ready in the upper right, and he needed to return to the bedroom before he could leave through the door in front of Charlie. So, Charlie relaxed on the sofa opposite the door, propping his feet up casually and waiting for Su to come out.
