Then, Charlie had an idea when he met Su Shoudao. He decided to send Su to Hamid to help him out. Charlie would ask Hamid to give Su a task, keeping him under watch in Syria. Charlie Wade looked at Su Shoudao and said, “You have two hours to prepare. You need to gather at least 50 million U.S. dollars. I’ll arrange a plane to take you to Syria. Before you arrive, you must pay 5,000 U.S. dollars to my friend’s account. If you don’t, I will make sure you are tied to an armored vehicle for 24 hours once you get there.”

The two girls from the Su family looked very embarrassed by this situation. Charlie Wade didn’t seem to care about their reactions or the fact that Su Shoudao was feeling humiliated.

Su Shoudao was confused. “What is Charlie Wade talking about? Why does it sound like a set deal?”

While he was trying to understand, Charlie Wade continued, “First, just to remind you, the basic cost of this Syrian vacation package is 50 million U.S. dollars, as I mentioned.”

He paused before adding, “But for that amount, you will only get the most basic meals and accommodations. Most of the time, you will be eating noodles. For your stay, you’ll usually be in simple earth houses, but the minimum package doesn’t even include indoor accommodations; you’ll have to sleep in a cowshed.”

Su Shoudao felt hopeless. “This greedy Charlie Wade! For fifty million dollars, I can’t even eat meat every day? And now, I can’t even stay indoors?”

“A dirt house? You can only sleep in the bullpen? Is that still alive?”

Charlie Wade continued, “If you pay an extra 10 million dollars and choose the 60 million dollar package, you can upgrade your meals to one meal a day. For your accommodation, you can stay in a windowless cellar.”

Su Shoudao’s eyes widened in disbelief. He felt a surge of anger. “This guy is truly ruthless! Sixty million dollars for just one meal a day and a room with no windows? How is this even acceptable?”
