Chapter: 2724
Hamid was surprised to hear Charlie Wade mention a huge amount of 100 million U.S. dollars, only to find it was just a matter of “little care.” He felt so grateful that his voice trembled. He said, “Brother Ye, you… you are truly like a parent to me. Your magical medicine helped my bad leg, and now you support me with such a large sum of money. I don’t know how to repay your kindness…”
Charlie Wade smiled and replied, “Meeting you was fate. Since we’ve crossed paths, I want to help you.”
Then he asked, “By the way, what are your plans now that you have this money?”
Hamid answered without hesitation, “Brother, let me tell you. Since my leg injury, my team has lost many members, and I haven’t had a chance to replace them. With this new funding, I plan to reunite my old team, expand our numbers, and buy advanced weapons and equipment. I want to improve our individual combat gear and get some light equipment as well.”
Charlie Wade cautioned, “Brother, I advise you not to expand your army too quickly right now.”
“Why not?” Hamid asked, confused. “What do you think I should do?”
Charlie Wade replied seriously, “The area where you are currently based is easy to defend but hard to attack. Plus, the enemy’s weapons and equipment aren’t very good, so they can’t easily take you on. If you just grow your army without a plan, it might not mean much.”
After a brief pause, he continued, “But I believe your biggest issue right now is that your defenses are quite weak.”
“One less helicopter than one dropped, and the same for armored vehicles,” Charlie Wade said.
“Instead of focusing on that, you should put more effort into building your infrastructure. Work hard on it to improve your defenses, keep a low profile, and build your strength!”
Hamid looked surprised. “Brother, what kind of infrastructure can I build in my mountain hideout?”
Charlie smiled and replied, “You can dig deep holes and store food!”
He continued, “You know that even though your opponent seems stronger overall, they can’t produce really powerful weapons. They mostly have old planes, artillery, and maybe some missiles that you can’t afford. So, the conflict between you isn’t a modern war. It’s more like a battle from the 1940s to the 1970s.”
“If it were a modern war, your base would be very vulnerable. A few bomber runs or tactical missiles could easily destroy it.”
“But the good news is that neither side can fight a modern war, which makes it smart for you to focus on building infrastructure!”
“The more you do this, the stronger your base will be!”
“For instance, you could get soldiers to build a lot of air-raid and bomb shelters in the village. You could also buy some industrial and mining equipment, and use the mountains for cover to create fortifications.”
“This way, when they bomb, you can hide in the shelters and protect yourself!”
“By taking smart actions, you can reduce the losses.”
