A thought suddenly hit Charlie Wade, and he felt alarmed. He instinctively looked at He Zhiqiu and noticed that the shape of her upper body in the dress seemed to change slightly.
“Is it because the size I bought is too small?!”
Charlie realized the main issue at hand. The dress he had chosen was a high-end custom piece that was meant to highlight her figure. This meant that any flaws would be easy to see.
Looking back at how He Zhiqiu wore the dress earlier, he could see she had a nice figure. It wasn’t exactly model-like, but it was definitely appealing. Now, though, it was clear that she had a lot more to show than before.
This also explained the muffled noise they heard earlier. Charlie quickly pieced everything together.
Feeling embarrassed, he thought about how he had tried to help by buying clothes for her, but now he had only caused trouble and awkwardness. They were about to head to a restaurant, and he couldn’t just let He Zhiqiu go out like this, could he?
With a sigh, Charlie resolved to make things right. “Okay, I made a mistake. I need to fix this myself,” he told himself.
He then spoke calmly, “My car is parked downstairs. Let’s head to the hotel first. I have something personal to take care of, and it might take a bit of time.”
“Ten minutes,” He Zhiqiu said. “I’m sorry to make Uncle He and you wait at the hotel for a bit.”
He Yuanjiang smiled and replied, “No problem at all. I don’t have any classes this afternoon, so take your time.”
He Zhiqiu felt extremely embarrassed and was lost in her thoughts. She wanted to find a way to leave and buy some new underwear quickly. But then she worried, “I can’t just say I need to go alone… That would be too awkward with this situation. What if someone notices when I call a taxi or buy something? I’ll just go to dinner with Charlie and Dad first. After the meal, I’ll go home, fix my underwear with some needle and thread, and then I can go out to buy a new one!”

He Zhiqiu finally relaxed when she sat in the backseat of the Rolls-Royce. Meanwhile, Charlie was focused on making up for his earlier mistake. He kept an eye out for shopping malls as he drove, hoping to find a place where he could buy new underwear for He Zhiqiu.
As they approached Tianxiang Mansion, Charlie spotted a shopping mall with large billboards advertising women’s underwear. He felt a sense of relief. At the same moment, He Zhiqiu noticed the billboard too.
He couldn’t help but cry quietly. “Hey… I can picture the superhero from the movie teleporting to this store, grabbing it all at once, putting it on, and then teleporting back,” he thought.
