- The Amazing Son-in-Law [The Charismatic Charlie Wade] (Chinese name) Chapter: 6901
Charlie Wade quickly arranged a flight and left the mountainside villa with Lin Wan’er. Luckily, there was a spare vehicle available, so he didn’t have to say goodbye to Hong Wu. Charlie drove Lin Wan’er to the airport, and soon they were flying through the night toward Yanjing.
After an hour and a half, the plane landed at Yanjing Airport. The weather was unusually cold, and it had started to snow heavily. By the time they arrived, the snow on the sides of the runway was nearly ten centimeters deep.
Despite the snow, Sun Zhidong was there waiting for them. As soon as they got off the plane, he approached them and said, “Miss, Mr. Ye, I’ve already spoken to the cultural relics department. We can head there now.”
Charlie Wade replied respectfully, “Thank you, Grandpa Sun!”
Sun Zhidong smiled and said, “You’re too polite, Mr. Ye. This is all part of my duty.”
Sun Zhidong was grateful to Charlie Wade. Even if Charlie hadn’t involved Lin Wan’er, he would have gladly helped.
Soon, a convoy of three vehicles set off toward the suburbs of Yanjing City. However, Charlie Wade was surprised to learn that the Sifang Baozhuang wasn’t stored in the cultural relics department but at the military garrison on the outskirts of Beijing.
The reason for this was that the Sifang Baozhuang was extremely valuable, comparable to Qin Shihuang’s imperial seal. It was considered a masterpiece in many fields, including history and academia, and was one of the top cultural relics of the Chinese nation. There was also another reason for its secure location, which involved confidentiality from the relevant departments.
representative led Charlie Wade and Lin Wan’er through a long, dimly lit hallway. The walls were lined with thick metal, giving the place a secure feel.
As they walked, Sun Zhidong explained, “The Sifang Baozhuang is very important. It’s believed that it can influence the national destiny. That’s why it has to be kept in such a secure location.”
Charlie nodded, understanding the weight of the situation. “I just want to see it for myself,” he replied.
When they reached the end of the hallway, the representative stopped in front of a heavy door. He took a deep breath and said, “This is it. The Sifang Baozhuang is inside.”
Sun Zhidong motioned for him to open the door. The representative used a keycard to unlock it, and with a click, the door swung open.
Inside, the room was filled with a soft, golden light. In the center stood a large, ornate box, surrounded by various artifacts and monitors displaying information. It was a breathtaking sight.
“Remember,” the representative warned, “you must not touch anything unless you have permission. This place is under strict security.”
Charlie and Lin Wan’er stepped closer to the Sifang Baozhuang, their eyes wide with curiosity. They could feel the weight of history and power emanating from it.
“Let’s find out what it can do,” Charlie said, determined to uncover the secrets of the box.
The representative led three people into a completely sealed room, which had only one heavy vault door. The room was surrounded by a strong steel shell, and there were no ventilation ducts inside. The only air supply came from two tiny vents on the vault door—one for air to enter and one for air to exit. These vents were so small that only mosquitoes could fit through.
Outside the door stood several soldiers, armed and ready. Their job was to watch over the treasure building when someone was inside. When no one was there, they guarded the door closely to prevent anyone from entering without permission.
The guards didn’t have keys or passwords; those were with the representative. When he opened the door, the soldiers had to follow him inside and protect the treasure.
Before the door opened, Charlie Wade focused on his thoughts. He recalled how a large amount of spiritual energy had vanished from his mind, leading him to believe that something was hidden there, possibly connected to the treasure. He couldn’t see it, but he suspected that whatever it was might become clearer when he returned to the treasure.
As the representative verified the door, it slowly swung open. Inside, the treasure was carefully placed on a pedestal about one meter high, right in the center of the room.
As Charlie Wade stepped closer to the treasure, he felt a sudden movement deep within his mind, as if something significant was stirring.
Fish were swimming gently and turning gracefully under the calm water.
At that moment, Charlie Wade felt certain there was something mysterious in his mind, and it had to be connected to the Sifang Baozhu!
