- The Amazing Son-in-Law [The Charismatic Charlie Wade] (Chinese name) Chapter: 6903
Charlie Wade wondered if he could wake up the Sifang Treasure Tower or activate some mechanism within it. He decided to pause and said, “Wait a moment, I need to confirm something.”
He then directed a wave of spiritual energy and divine consciousness into the Sifang Baozhu. To his surprise, this time the Sifang Baozhu didn’t guide his consciousness or lead him into an illusion. Instead, Charlie found himself inside the treasure building itself. It felt as though the building had grown over a hundred times larger, making him feel like he was standing right there in the real treasure building. The interior soared high above him, and he was in awe of its structure.
But even more amazing things were yet to come.
As Charlie explored, he noticed numerous murals on the walls of the square treasure building. Each mural depicted different poses of the Buddha. Upon closer inspection, he recognized one of the poses from his previous experience in Aurora, where he had seen similar handprints.
This discovery reinforced Charlie’s belief that the mysterious knowledge he had was linked to the Sifang Baozhu. He thought, could this be a Buddhist way to cultivate spiritual energy? It made sense, given the complexity of the handprints he had seen.
Still, Charlie felt a bit uneasy. The last time he practiced hand seals, he had been tricked by something strange. Now, he was faced with several more handprints.
Charlie Wade looked at the wall covered in handprints and thought about how things could get worse if a big bug appeared. He considered withdrawing his focus from the Sifang Baozhuang and stopping the hand seals to avoid being tricked again.
But then he realized that even though he didn’t understand the purpose of the handprints, he might need to come back here in the future to see them again. He thought it would be helpful to find a way to remember them, even if he couldn’t figure out their quality right now.
So, Charlie decided not to waste any time. He focused on learning all the Buddha’s handprints in the entire package until he knew them well.
Once he finished, Charlie’s consciousness explored the Sifang Baozhuang again. After confirming there was nothing else hidden inside, he withdrew his consciousness and took the elevator back to the ground with the others.
Sun Zhidong was curious about why Charlie had come to explore the Sifang Baozhuang, but he had been raised by Lin Wan’er to be respectful. He knew not to ask questions, no matter how curious he felt. After the military representative left, he turned to Lin Wan’er and Charlie and asked, “Miss, what are Mr. Ye’s plans next?”
Lin Wan’er looked at Charlie, her eyes indicating that the decision was up to him.
Without hesitation, Charlie replied, “Thank you, Grandpa Sun, for arranging a car to take us to the airport. Let’s go back to Jinling.”
“Okay, Mr. Ye,” Sun Zhidong confirmed.
Zhidong drove Charlie and Lin Wan’er back to the airport. As soon as they arrived, they boarded the business jet they had taken to get there and headed back to Jinling.
Once on the plane, Lin Wan’er turned to Charlie and asked, “Master, is the thing that drained your spiritual energy connected to the Sifang Baozhuang?”
Charlie nodded. “Yes, I believe it is, but I still need to figure out how exactly.”
He then shared his discoveries with Lin Wan’er. After hearing his findings, she responded with surprise, “So, there are many handprints in the treasure building? Are you thinking of trying them?”
Charlie shook his head. “The energy from the handprints doesn’t seem meant for me. It feels like it’s intended for something in my consciousness. That thing is too powerful, so I’m not ready to experiment with it again just yet.”
Lin Wan’er smiled reassuringly. “Don’t be too worried, Young Master. Even though you’ve lost a lot of spiritual energy and elixirs, this might turn out to be a blessing in disguise for you.”
Charlie replied, “The Sifang Baozhuang is an important tool for our country. Anything from it shouldn’t be entirely evil. It’s just very cunning, which makes me uneasy. I’m not worried about what happened before, but I’m frustrated that I can’t use that hand seal again. The energy it produced was beyond my control and way too overwhelming for me.”
Lin Wan’er sighed, “It’s a shame. You finally found a valuable way to gain spiritual energy, and it turned out to be a trap. It looks like we’ll need to search for another way.”
After saying that, she suddenly had a thought and asked Charlie Wade, “Master, have you ever wondered when that mysterious thing entered your mind?”
Charlie Wade replied, “It probably happened when I first got the Sifang Baozhuang. At that time, the Sifang Baozhuang sucked my spiritual consciousness into it. When my consciousness came back, maybe that thing came along into my mind.”
Lin Wan’er nodded slightly and said, “The Sifang Baozhuang revealed all its secrets to you. It must trust you. If it sent something into your mind back then, I don’t think it had any bad intentions. Since you found more fingerprints inside it today, maybe that was on purpose!”
